Noah Kahan Jokes He Almost Peed His Pants at Emmys 2026
Noah Kahan wishes he could have orbited around a bathroom during his 2026 Emmys performance.
After the “Stick Season” singer took the stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Sept. 14 during the Emmys in memoriam tribute for celebrities such as Catherine O’Hara, James Van Der Beek, Eric Dane and Hayden Panettiere, he admitted his nerves nearly got the better of him.
“Honored to have sang tonight to the memory of so many legends,” Kahan wrote on X after his performance. “Also I almost pissed my pants cuz I was nervous.”
During the emotional tribute, Kahan joined Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy in remembering the lives of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars by performing a cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water.”
“I think it's a perfect song to encapsulate the hope that comes with so many of the people that we lost this year,” Kahan exclusively told Keltie Knight during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys Sept. 14. “The bright lights we've lost: Dolly [Parton], Catherine [O’Hara], so many incredible artists.”
“I think the song speaks to the hope and love that they brought to the world,” he continued. “And I'm going to try to kind of give some of that back with a song tonight.”
The “Orbiter” singer also teased an upcoming music project ahead of the Mariska Hargitay-hosted event, though he was careful not to say too much.

“I can't tell you any more, really, but yeah, we've got something. I got that thing on me right now,” he said. “I got something in the works.”
Though the 29-year-old—who donned an oversized black suit and bow tie for the event—kept his cards close to his chest, that’s mainly because he joked his publicist would “throw me into the trash can over there” if he revealed any more.
“But very excited about what we have,” he added, “and it was a really cool opportunity.”
