Hear'Say and Liberty X have announced they're joining forces for a huge arena tour, 25 years after shooting to fame on Popstars: The Rivals.

The two bands will perform together for the first time ever on a 13-date arena tour in 2027, with shows in cities including Dublin, London, Manchester and Leeds.

The Hear'Say reunion features four of their original members: Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan, and Liberty X return with their entire original line-up: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm and Kelli Young.

The bands also shared the tour news with a trailer that saw Liberty X don their iconic leather outfits, while Hear'Say sported their famous Noughties look.

Fans who register will be able to access a handful of tickets available for pre-sale on Wednesday, October 14, before the general sale on Friday, October 16.

The announcement comes after Myleene Klass confirmed last week she would not be taking part in the Hear'Say reunion, blaming her busy schedule.

Speaking about their comeback, Hear'Say said: 'Coming back together after 25 years is something that's incredibly special to all of us.

Hear'Say were also formed on the same talent show, but split in 2002. Four of its original members are taking part in the tour, but Myleene Klass is not returning

'It's a chance to celebrate an unforgettable chapter in our lives, reconnect with each other and relive so many amazing memories.

'To be sharing the stage with Liberty X makes this celebration even more special, and it feels like the perfect way to mark such an incredible milestone.

'We are so excited to be celebrating with everyone and honestly can't wait to reconnect with the Hear'Say fans. To relive those amazing memories together and create some new ones along the way is going to be very special.

'We are counting down the days and can't wait to see you there.'

Liberty X added: 'It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since Popstars changed all of our lives. We are thrilled to be heading out on tour with Hear'Say to celebrate where it all began.

'It feels like the perfect way to mark such an incredible milestone, bringing the music, the memories and all the energy back to the stage.

'Most of all, we can't wait to celebrate with all of you. Whether you've been with us since day one or you're discovering these songs all over again, we can't wait to sing, dance and make some brand new memories together. See you on tour!'

Hear'Say were one of the earliest major UK TV-created pop groups, formed through ITV's Popstars in 2000-01.

After being formed on Popstars in 2001, Liberty X released their debut single Thinking It Over, which reached number five in the UK charts

After sharing the news, both bands were pictured arriving at BBC Breakfast to discuss their upcoming reunion tour

The band were selected from thousands of applicants, with the formation of the band being documented on television.

Their debut single, Pure and Simple, was a phenomenon and went to No1 in the UK selling 549,823 copies in its first week, setting a record at the time for a debut single.

Kym left the group in January 2002 and was replaced by Johnny Shentall. The new lineup released Lovin' Is Easy, but it didn't reproduce the group's earlier success.

After being formed on Popstars in 2001, Liberty X released their debut single Thinking It Over, which reached number five in the UK charts.

But it was their third single Just A Little that turned the group into global stars as it reached number one in the UK and became the ninth best-selling single of 2002.

The band split in 2007 after their final album failed to make an impact, though they did reunite as part of ITV show The Big Reunion in 2012.

Both bands also sat down for an interview with The Sun, and Kelli admitted the idea to reunite was something they came up with themselves.

She said: 'Jessica and Michelle came up with the idea and then we took it out there. I started talking to a few people, but actually, really, thought it was best to just approach the guys ourselves.

'We slipped into the DMs of Suzanne first and then Noel, and then it rolled away — we kind of got it going ourselves, to be honest.'

Referencing Liberty X's famous PVC outfits and sexy routines, Kym added: 'I'm a 50-year-old grandmother, so for me to be doing those kinds of dance routines that we used to do...

'They may not be as energetic as they used to be, but there will be a nod to it, for sure.'

On Monday, Myleene first broke her silence on the Hear'Say reunion, insisting she had no time in her busy schedule to join the band.

Speaking on Loose Women, the TV and radio presenter said her bandmates 'were really sweet, and they did include me in the discussions. But it's not something I can commit to at the moment.'

'I just really can't. I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it, and until they do that, you know, there's nothing sort of necessary set in stone. But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys.'

Myleene added that she looks back on her time in the band fondly, and is still on good terms with her old bandmates.

She insisted: 'I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much. You know, epic songs like that and moments like that.'

The star did say she hasn't completely ruled out revisiting Hear'Say and will be front row when they do get back onstage, though she quipped she has no idea if she remembers all the lyrics.

She said: 'I would say never say never about anything because, as I said earlier to you guys, you know, I don't really agree on revisiting the past.'
