All Major Genshin Impact Snezhnaya Characters Revealed

Developer HoYoverse has released yet another Genshin Impact teaser centered around Snezhnaya, and this time around, the characters from the Nation of Cryo are at the forefront of the announcement. There had already been some details showcased about Snezhnaya characters, as well as some leaks about Tsaritsa in Genshin Impact 7.0 and beyond, but information was still scarce. While the developer didn’t reveal too much about each character, we got to see the first design iterations of each one.

With it, we know what to expect from the upcoming year of content focused on the seventh nation of Teyvat, and the eighth major region in the world, following the release of Nod-Krai last year – Nod-Krai isn’t, technically speaking, a region in and of itself in the same way as Natlan or Fontaine, but it sustained an entire year of content, leading up to the release of Genshin Impact 6.7, the final update before Version 7.0 and the arrival of Snezhnaya.

All Characters Confirmed For Snezhnaya (So Far)

Now, via a teaser trailer shared on the official Genshin Impact channel on YouTube, HoYoverse highlighted several of the characters that will be released during the Version 7.X patches. It also put the spotlight on some of the returning characters that will likely play a big role in the story, such as Sandrone, Childe, and Arlecchino in Genshin Impact. The trailer also showcased the first look for Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon, as well as a teaser for the return of both Ronova and Rhinedottir.

The trailer does not confirm which characters are becoming playable or not. It’s expected that the majority will be playable, but characters like Ronova or Rhinedottir may not – also, there have been leaks about Genshin Impact’s plans for SPs, which are said to be non-existent, so don’t expect alternative character versions of Arlecchino, Childe, or Sandrone, for instance.

Snezhnaya Will Be A Major Arc For Genshin Impact

Apart from the fact that we’ll have an exciting new roster of characters to pull for during the Version 7.X updates, it seems like these units will be very important, some of which may be the most important characters in years. The Cryo Archon is expected to be playable pretty soon, and there are rumors about the Tsaritsa not being a villain in Genshin Impact. Based on the trailer, it seems like she does, indeed, want to topple the gods, starting with Ronova.

If the Tsaritsa is successful, then this will be a major twist for the RPG, even if it does go in the direction we expected. Ronova is a powerful entity, the literal Ruler of Death among the Four Shades of the Heavenly Principles. On top of that, the return of Rhinedottir is all but confirmed thanks to the new Snezhnaya trailer. It will be a huge year for Genshin Impact, especially in terms of its story, so be sure to keep up with all the updates.
