The 2026 Tony Awards has been set for Sunday, June 7, at Radio City Music Hall, producers announced today.
Tony Award Productions also set the eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season as Sunday, April 26, for all Broadway productions which meet all other eligibility requirements. Nominations for the 2026 Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday, May 5.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards will mark the second consecutive year (and the 22nd in total since 1997) for the ceremony’s return to its Radio City tradition following a two-year experiment with other venues: In 2023, the Tonys were presented at the then-newly renovated United Palace in Upper Manhattan’s Washington Heights and in 2024 the awards ceremony was held at the renovated David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
The awards will broadcast live to both coasts on CBS, streaming on Paramount+ (8–11 p.m. ET/5–8 p.m. PT). The Tony Awards are produced by CBS in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League.
Although an official complete list of the season’s Tony-eligible shows will be compiled throughout the season by the awards’ Eligibility Committee, an unofficial count by surveying the fall openings and planned spring productions puts the number at 33.
