It's only been two months since Netflix's biggest legal drama aired all ten episodes of its fourth season, and there's already good news about its return. Centered on L.A.'s finest defense attorney, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), The Lincoln Lawyer is an adaptation of Michael Connelly's books beginning with the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict. Season 1 of the hit series premiered on May 13, 2022, followed by Season 2 the following year on July 6, 2023, and Seasons 3 and 4 on October 17, 2024, and February 5, 2026, respectively.

The Lincoln Lawyer is set to return with Season 5 after being renewed in January; however, a premiere date wasn't announced at the time, but that's about to change. Filming on the new season is currently ongoing after starting in early March and is expected to wrap up in its usual spots around L.A. by July 9, 2026. Reports also claim that each episode has a budget of between $5 and $7M. Ted Humphrey, who developed The Lincoln Lawyer, directs Episode 1, while co-showrunner and EP Dailyn Rodriguez is directing the fifth and sixth episodes, both of which she unveiled their titles—"Sucker Punch" and "Chemistry Problem."

As more details of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5 come to light, we can confirm that a release window has now been teased. Given the filming timeline for the upcoming chapter, it aligns with the 130-day production schedule of previous seasons. Season 3 wrapped in mid-2024 and was released four months later, while Season 4 took about seven and a half months in post-production. Looking at these patterns, Season 5 will likely premiere on Netflix sometime between late winter and spring 2027, with a February-April 2027 window looking highly possible.

New Faces To Expect in 'The Lincoln Lawyer' Season 5

Last month, The Lincoln Lawyer recruited a High Potential favorite for Season 5 in the person of Steve Howey. Howey will recur as Brian Cunningham, the only disclosed detail about his character. Alongside the Shameless alum, other new additions include Chris Diamantopoulos as Frank Silver, Corbin Bernsen as Richard Finch, Diane Guerrero as Natalia, Iker Garcia as Rafa Wagner, Patty Guggenheim as Allison Finch, Richard Cabral as Benny Perez, and Teresa Maria as Tina Perez. Furthermore, Cobie Smulders, who appeared in the show's Season 4 finale as Mickey's supposed sister Artemisia "Emi" Finch, has been upped to a series regular.

The Lincoln Lawyer streams on Netflix. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
