The first R-rated film for the DC Universe is six months away from its release, as DC Studios will be heading to Gotham City this fall.
After principal photography wrapped in 2025, the upcoming Batman villain film, Clayface, was part of the Warner Bros. Discovery presentation at CinemaCon 2026, as ScreenRant is in attendance for their panel. DC Studios revealed the first footage for the major film, describing it as "A riveting horror thriller that focuses on character rather than genre and create films that have something for everyone."
Footage description: A man with injuries in a hospital bed. Flashes of his face before the injuries. Followed by flashes of experiments. The camera gets closer to his bandaged face, and flashes from the film are seen, including Clayface running, Gotham City, etc. A hand comes over the man’s face before the logo appears.
Clayface opens on October 23.
