Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen to Camila Morrone's character in an all-new chilling trailer from Netflix.

The Duffer Brothers, known for creating Netflix's global phenomenon Stranger Things, are back, but this time they are executive producing a new horror series titled Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen. The official logline is, "Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That’s not a spoiler — just read the title."

Netflix has released the spine-tingling trailer for its new limited series set to release on March 26 with eight episodes. The horror series' cast includes Morrone, Adam DiMarco, Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, and Sawyer Fraser. The name Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen already gives audiences a sense of dread about what could be expected from the Duffer Brothers' new adventure.

If Carrie is horror’s version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary’s Baby is the horrific version of a woman becoming a mother, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is horror’s take on a woman becoming a wife. Rachel (Camila Morrone) is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky (Adam DiMarco), she embarks on a road trip to his family's vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams.

Which really would be so lovely, except ... prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can't shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen. Her foreboding doubts, coupled with a series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question: What makes two people soulmates? And worse — what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?

Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen

The showrunner, creator, and executive producer, Haley Z. Boston, spoke to TUDUM about the upcoming series and stated:

"I love horror. It’s natural to me. It’s the way that I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world. Horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite. The week leading up to a wedding is such a ripe comparison to walking the plank. You’re marching toward your death if it’s the wrong choice."

Morrone is known for her roles in Daisy Jones and the Six, Death Wish, and The Night Manager. She is also expected to appear in The Age of Innocence, which is currently filming. Morrone will be starring as the main character, Rachel, as Boston states she intentionally wanted to make the audience paranoid, alongside Rachel's own mental state. "Even when she's not in the scene, we were always thinking about constructing the show in terms of her discomfort," stated Boston.

The trailer also reflects the feeling of unease as Rachel's introduced to her partner's weird family. Leading up to the wedding, each episode takes place over a day, showing Rachel slowly descending into madness as the world around her is far from what she first thought. This series comes after Matt and Ross Duffer's divisive final season of Stranger Things, which was met with hostility from fans, and this will be one of the first projects not affiliated with Hawkins.

Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen will arrive on Netflix on March 26.
