Ted Lasso season 4 finally has a release month.
Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are all returning to reprise their roles as Rebecca Welton, Keeley Jones, Coach Beard, Roy Kent, and Leslie Higgins. They reunite with star and co-creator Jason Sudeikis as Ted, with the story shifting its focus to a women’s soccer team for Ted Lasso season 4.
Although the hit Apple TV sports dramedy previously announced that it was coming back in the summer of 2026, it's now been confirmed that Ted Lasso season 4 will debut in August.
The news comes courtesy of Waddingham, who shared the update during an interview with Deadline at the BAFTAs. At first, the Emmy winner was unsure of whether to reveal the news. But, in the quote below, she ultimately confirms it: “August, I think,” the star shared when asked about an update. “Am I allowed to say August? What if I’m wrong? I think it’s August.”
The long-awaited fourth installment of Apple TV's breakout series is currently in production, and it will see a number of additions to the Ted Lasso cast. Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely are some of the new performers that viewers will be seeing when the popular comedy makes its bow later this year.
Feely will be playing a crucial recast Ted Lasso role. The actor, who played a young version of Luke Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi, will be portraying Ted's son Henry. The character was previously portrayed by Gus Turner and is now aged 12. Another significant change in the ensemble connects to Phil Dunster, who plays Jamie Tartt, and will not be back as a main cast member due to scheduling conflicts.
More will likely be revealed about the next chapter of the fan-favorite series as filming wraps and the summer months draw closer, including whether familiar faces like Dunster will at least make guest appearances. But there will likewise be a mix of continuity and recent additions behind the scenes.
Jack Burditt, an Emmy-winning producer on sitcoms like 30 Rock and Modern Family, has joined the executive producing team alongside the co-creating foursome of Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence. They'll help steer Apple TV's defining original, with its 13 Emmy wins, after the Ted Lasso season 3 finale closed a chapter and paved the way for this new direction.
