“Shrinking” has scored an early Season 4 renewal at Apple TV just ahead of the launch of Season 3.
The dramedy series is debuting the first episode of its third season on the streamer on Jan. 28. New episodes will then drop weekly through April 8.
Jason Segel returns at the head of the series’ cast along with Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Per the official logline, the show “follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.”
The Season 3 casts also includes returning guest stars Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders. New additions this season are Jeff Daniels, Michael J. Fox, Candice Bergen, Sherry Cola, and Isabella Gomez.
“Shrinking” is produced for Apple TV by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals along with Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley executive produce.
“Shrinking” has been well-receive by critics and audiences alike since its debut in 2023. Segel, Ford, Williams, and Urie have all received Emmy nominations for their work on the show, while Segel and Ford have also been nominated for Golden Globes. “Shrinking” was also nominated for best comedy series at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
The series was created by Bill Lawrence, Segel, and Goldstein. All three are executive producers, with Lawrence and Goldstein currently under their overall deals with the series’ studio, Warner Bros. Television. Lawrence executive produces via Doozer Productions alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Additional executive producers include Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley.
