We're arguably entering into a new Golden Age when it comes to Lord of the Rings adaptations, with several exciting projects on the horizon to look forward to. Aside from the upcoming season 3 debut of Rings of Power, Amazon's divisive Lord of the Rings series, fans are marking their calendars for Andy Serkis's The Hunt for Gollum, officially set to release in late 2027 after facing delays in production this year.

If these Lord of the Rings projects weren't enough to get us hyped, there's an exciting upcoming release from Sideshow and Vanderstelt Studios set to make its debut this summer, and it takes us back to one of the most iconic moments from Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring.

Thanks to Sideshow and Vanderstelt, hardcore Lord of the Rings fans will finally be able to purchase the officially licensed "The Flame of Udûn: The Balrog Fine Art Print," a truly stunning work of art that was originally painted live on stage at the Weta Workshop booth in Emerald City Comic Con in 2018. The original work was highly sought after among collectors due to its performance art origins on stage from renowned fantasy artist Jerry VanderStelt.

The upcoming release is available for pre-order now on Sideshow for just $80 and is a limited-edition run with just 2000 units expected to ship worldwide. These are officially licensed fine art prints from Warner Bros., hand-signed by Vanderstelt, and include a numbered certificate of authenticity. The prints measure 18" (46 cm) x 24" (61 cm) and are expected to ship starting from May through July 2026.

This upcoming re-release of the original 2018 Flame of Udûn print features the iconic Balrog from one of the most famous scenes from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. The print is extremely affordable as far as Lord of the Rings collectibles and merch goes, and if you're looking to take your collection to the next level, Sideshow has several officially licensed Lord of the Rings items on offer.

Other notable releases from Sideshow include the upcoming Nazgul King art mask, set for a spring 2027 launch, as well as the 1:2 scale Arwen statue set for a summer 2027 release and featuring a massive (and expensive) limited-edition run.
