Kelly Brook has revealed she sold her prized Hermès Birkin handbag out of fear it could make her the target of criminals in London.
The former glamour model, 46, said she made a staggering five-fold profit on the designer bag, which is known for being the ultimate fashion status symbol, with a hefty price tag to go with it.
She told Daily Mail's Richard Eden: 'I just sold my Birkin not that long ago for about five times what I bought it for. It was a beautiful bag. But I’ve had it and I used it and I enjoyed it.’
While Kelly added that she had been motivated to flog the item - which sells for staggering prices ranging from £10,000 into the hundreds of thousands - out of fear from her safety.
‘I’m very mindful that I live in London and I don’t want to be targeted for my bags – because people are,' she said.
‘So I’m very careful about very expensive designer things and jewellery. I don’t really purchase things like that any more, or even have things like that.’

Last year, the Daily Mail revealed the burglary hotspots across England and Wales in an interactive map of 36,000 neighbourhoods.
Streets lined by multi-million pound homes in London's swanky Mayfair and areas in Soho were found to be the worst affected.
The sector built around Regent Street, one of the capital's most famed areas because of its breadth of shops and restaurants, recorded 282 break-ins.
Meanwhile, the more affluent areas of the capital are also susceptible to muggings, with a total of 508 reported to police in the year to June 2025 across one area that covers both Oxford Street and Shaftesbury Avenue,.
Another 499 robberies of individuals were recorded in the area including Regent Street, New Bond Street and sections of Oxford Street in the same time period.
Kelly previously told how she'd sold an 'investment' bag that she'd splashed out on in her younger years for a huge profit, despite admitting she'd thrown up inside it.
Speaking on her Heart radio show with co-host Jason King in 2023, she recalled: 'Many years ago, I was way more into fashion and designer labels when I was younger – I think that’s a given.
'So a long, long time ago I invested in a handbag. And I told JK how much it was, and he couldn’t believe I’d spend that much on a handbag.'

She then explained how she'd flogged the bag 15 years later, boasting: 'It had literally quadrupled in price! It was such a good investment.'
But she had listeners completely grossed out as she added: 'Oh, I had been sick in it a couple of times in the back of the cab on nights out,' admitting she didn't 'put that on the description of the bag' when she listed it online.
Kelly's comments come just a week after a well-known fashion designer to the stars of Hollywood was mugged for his ultra-rare £2million Richard Mille watch in Mayfair.
Catalin Botezatu, 59, who has worked for the likes of Vogue and Versace, was robbed in Berkeley Square at 11.50pm last Thursday.
Younes Djoudim, 33, from Slough, Berkshire, has been charged with theft and was remanded in custody at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday.
Catalin's stolen watch is thought to be part of the Sapphire Series - which are considered some of the rarest watches in the world and highly sought after by the rich and famous,
Among those known to own the stunning timepieces carved from blocks of sapphire crystal, are tennis legend Rafael Nadal, F1 driver Charles Leclerc and rapper Jay-Z.

Career criminal Kirk Holdrick, 43, was one of two masked intruders who smashed their way into the lavish property in February 2023, in a raid which may have been targeted at the actress.
Anya's rockstar husband, Malcolm McRae, confronted the intruders then barricaded himself and his wife, 29, inside one of the bedrooms.
He was armed only with a lamp as Holdrick and his accomplice attempted to prise open the bedroom door with a crowbar.
But Malcolm managed to scare off the burglars by shouting out, 'I have a gun, I have a gun', with Holdrick and his partner in crime fleeing the home empty-handed.
The way the burglars tried to break into the bedroom, rather than simply stealing expensive items, suggested they were intending to target Anya personally, prosecutors believe.
Holdrick was jailed for life in 2005 for armed robberies on a security van transporting cash and a jewellers.
He was recalled to prison to continue serving his life sentence after his latest offences and last November was jailed for 12 years for holding a mother and daughter at gunpoint during a terrifying £220,000 Sandbanks mansion raid.
Holdrick has now been handed a further three-year prison sentence for the burglary involving Anya and Malcolm.
