Baroness Karren Brady got her Instagram followers all fired up on Wednesday as she prepares for her latest boardroom appearance on BBC show The Apprentice UK.

The businesswoman showed off her dramatic weight loss while modelling a smart pinstripe trouser suit - the latest in a series of photos that showcase her notably slimmer physique.

Brady, 56, looked boardroom ready as she struck a pose in the tailored two piece from Debenhams owned fashion brand Karen Millen.

Captioning her latest post, the Apprentice UK regular confirmed this year's crop of budding entrepreneurs will face their biggest challenge yet during Thursday's show.

She wrote: 'Tomorrow night on @apprenticeuk, the candidates are pushed to their creative limits as they take on a brand-new task: creating a children’s book.

'Let’s see who will rise to the task and turn a good story into good business - and who will get lost in the plot.'

Brady's recent social media activity has prompted the inevitable claim that weekly weight loss jabs are responsible for her rapid physical transformation.

But she insists her slimmer figure was achieved the old fashioned way - through a controlled diet and regular exercise - rather than quick fix injections.

She told The Sun: 'I’m not on Ozempic, but questions about women’s weight come up far more often than they should. I’d much prefer the conversation to be focused around my work.

'Anyone can do anything they want to their own body. I have no problem with it at all. But people think they know something they don’t know, or they just presume.

'And so what if I was? And what if I wasn’t? It would be my choice. I think the way people talk about women’s bodies is certainly an effort to belittle them or make them feel insecure.'

She added: 'I’ve been called too fat, too thin and everything in between. I’ve had a lifetime of it. All I want is to feel strong, physically and mentally.'

Brady previously admitted to losing as much as five kilograms before every Apprentice launch, 'so I look my normal weight and I don’t look huge next to Alan [Sugar] as he’s so fit and healthy.'

A regular gym-goer, the mother-of-two insists she's worked hard to incorporate frequent exercise into her hectic lifestyle.

Brady's dramatic weight loss has commanded almost as much attention as The Apprentice - and prompted inevitable questions about weight loss jabs

'You have to find the time to go, particularly as you get older,' she said. 'I have a very set routine that I do, but it’s mainly cardiovascular and weights, and I don’t mind the odd swim.

'I go three or four times a week. I never have set days, because I’ve got a full-time job, then I have to go to the House of Lords often to vote, so I fit it in where I can.'

Away from The Apprentice, Brady is also a devoted grandmother to Leo, 22 months, and George, four months, through her daughter, Sophia Peschisolido.

'I just love spending time with them,' she said. 'My Leo will be two in March and George is four months. So my daughter’s got her hands full, as you can imagine. But being a grandparent is a deeply rewarding role.

'Grandchildren bring an unfiltered happiness and laughter into your life. You can spoil them, treat them, pamper them. It’s hard work though – you do need a lot of energy, because you forget how kids don’t sit still for two minutes.

'You need eyes in the back of your head. It’s wonderful, though.'
