Beast Games season 2 has broken new ground with the latest entry, even featuring a Beast City wedding. MrBeast's spectacle of a reality game show has stepped things up in numerous ways, but one unexpected outcome was the budding romance of Jim and Monika, two players who met on the show and began dating.

After just a few days of knowing one another, the pair committed to a serious relationship. But things only got faster and more intense from there. But the question is, how much was real, and what was just for show?

Jim Bentayou and Monika Ronk were two contestants selected to participate in Beast Games season 2 as members of the strong team. After connecting in the days before filming began, the two appear to have sparked a romance, with both expressing interest in each other.

In the behind-the-scenes clips from the MrBeast channel, largely hosted by Jon Youshaei, Jim openly talks about how he likes to play things up for the camera. Despite that detail, the romance appears to be genuine, as the pair continue to date and have begun a shared YouTube channel titled 'Jim & Monika.'

The Beast Games BTS Saw Jim & Monika Get Married In Beast City

Another BTS clip from season 2 revealed that Jim proposed to Monika with a ring he made out of LEGO. From there, the pair decided to go all in and asked a fellow contestant, Jack, to officiate a wedding. This all took place while many of the contestants were away competing for an island.

However, the clips never made it into the official cuts of the episode, with so much already happening in the extraordinary games. Regardless, Jim and Monika made the choice to make their relationship official, and it appears that they did all they could to make it real at the games.

Jim Recently Confirmed That The Officiant Was Legally Ordained

Jim and Monika, along with several other contestants from Beast Games season 2, have gone on to maintain active social media accounts with the release of the show, regularly sharing more BTS details about what played out that didn't make it in the show.

During one such post, Jim talks openly about how Jack, the officiant for their wedding, is a legally licensed officiant. This adds a layer of seriousness and sincerity to their nuptials. Jim also suggests that he views it as an important step in their commitment to each other.

Jim & Monika Didn't Sign A Marriage License

All of that being said, Monika also reveals that they didn't sign any legally binding documents. While Jack is an ordained minister and has the power to officially marry people, without the documentation, their ceremony is not recognized as a real marriage.

Possibly, the ceremony alone may qualify them for some claim to being married in areas where the rules are less stringent about certificates, but broadly speaking, Jim and Monika did not get married in Beast Games season 2.
