‘Yellowstone’ Star Kelly Reilly Teases a Potential ‘Marshals’ Crossover Ahead of ‘Dutton Ranch’ Spinoff Premiere

Ahead of the premiere of the “Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch,” star Kelly Reilly is making it known that she wouldn’t be opposed to a crossover with “Marshals,” another spinoff that focuses on Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes).

In an interview with People, Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, said, “I’m so proud of Luke, and we love him so much, and I miss him. I wish we had a crossover. Maybe we will in the future.”

Since Kayce and Beth are siblings, it would definitely make sense if the actor popped up on the new series. But for now, viewers can expect to catch up with Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser) in South Texas – not Montana, where “Yellowstone” took place.

“As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul,” reads the official logline.

Reilly said the storyline will revolve around who Beth and Rip are when they’re not under the thumb of Beth’s father John Dutton, who died in the last season of “Yellowstone.”

“Dutton Ranch” will look at “Who are they together now?,” says Reilly. “They were the top dogs,” in Montana, she explains. “Now they’re the strangers.” In addition to Reilly and Hauser, the Season 1 cast includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind and Ed Harris.

The “Yellowstone” characters were originally created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The series first began in 2018, and this year launched the spin-off “Marshals” which premiered on March 1.

“Dutton Ranch” will debut with its first two episodes on May 15 on Paramount+ and at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network, followed by one new episode weekly thereafter. The first season consists of nine episodes.
