A massive new RPG with around 190 hours of gameplay just dropped on Xbox Game Pass, and if you decide to check it out, be aware that it may consume your life – and that’s actually great. The subscription service offers a plethora of huge RPGs to play, but picking one to dedicate your time to may be difficult, especially because new ones arrive pretty often. For instance, a major 2025 open-world RPG is joining Game Pass soon.

Just recently, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition was released on Xbox Game Pass, and it’s a gargantuan RPG for players to check out. The addition to the catalog happened on February 19, as was previously announced by Microsoft via Xbox Wire. The game is locked behind the Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass tiers, which means that members who subscribe to the Essential tier won’t be able to check it out for free.

The Witcher 3 Is Free On Game Pass, And It's Massive

The Complete Edition Also Contains Two Huge DLCs

Geralt's side profile from The Witcher 3

If you’re a member, you’ll be able to enjoy everything this February Xbox Game Pass addition has to offer. The Complete Edition contains the base game of The Witcher 3, as well as its two major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The base game itself is already a huge title, as we follow Geralt’s journey in search of both Yennefer and Ciri. However, it gets significantly larger if you deviate and tackle side quests.

The two DLCs make it even bigger, as they are both considered full games in and of themselves. The best part of it is that, if you’re a member, you’ll get to have the full experience of The Witcher 3 on Xbox Game Pass for free, apart from the fee you pay to maintain your subscription. It’s currently one of the best RPGs available on the catalog, and if you haven’t played it, this is your moment – but be sure to put aside some time.

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition Amounts To Nearly 200 Hours Of Gameplay

This RPG Is Time Well Spent

According to HowLongToBeat, it takes an average of 130 hours to beat The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition. If you focus solely on the main campaign, that number drops to 57 hours. However, if you’re a completionist who wants to complete all the side quests and obtain all the Achievements, you can take up to 188 hours. This RPG on Xbox Game Pass is sure to take up a lot of your time.

However, it’s time well spent. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is widely considered one of the best RPGs of all time, and its expansions were both met with critical acclaim. In fact, some even consider Blood and Wine to be better than the base game itself. If you’ve never played it or haven’t checked out the DLCs, you should consider spending some time with this RPG on Xbox Game Pass as soon as possible.
