Xbox's Free Play Days are back, and this weekend's offerings are available from February 5–8, once again running from Thursday until late on Sunday night. What sets this weekend apart is the sheer volume of titles, since six free games are all available right now and throughout the weekend.
Unlike last week's offerings, this time around, you'll need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass in order to access the games at no additional cost. These are all available to Ultimate, Premium and Essential members, so no matter your tier, you can check them out. Those games are:
- NBA 2K26
- PGA Tour 2K25
- Risk of Rain 2
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
- Lego 2K Drive
- TopSpin 2K25
You can find full details on the official Xbox news site, but if you want to learn more, we've got you covered here too.
2K Games Take Over Free Play Days This Weekend
2K Games are in the spotlight this time around, with NBA 2K26 being the headliner. We're not quite to the NBA play-offs yet, but you can get a jumpstart by playing through the latest entry in 2K's franchise right now. If basketball isn't your thing, then you can try golf or tennis thanks to PGA Tour 2K25 and TopSpin 2K25, respectively.
If you don't like sports games at all, then Risk of Rain 2 or Civ 6 might be more your cup of tea. There's also the excellent LEGO 2K Drive to check out, which is a must-play for anyone who digs LEGOs and/or driving games.
Civ 6 Is Definitely Worth Checking Out
Civ 6 is arguably the best Civ game, so that's another one we highly recommend. It's an award-winning strategy game that's perfect for history buffs or anyone looking to get invested in a ridiculously good war game. Just be warned: You might get obsessed with Civ 6 and want to keep playing long after the Free Play Days weekend is over.
But there's good news there too. All of these games are currently on sale on Xbox, whether you have Game Pass or not, so if you fall in love with any of these games, you can scoop them up for a discount after February 8. For reference, Civ 6 is just $5.99, down from its usual $29.99 price. PGA Tour 2K25 is the most expensive at $27.99, but its regular MSRP is $69.99, so that's still a good deal.
This is a pretty good selection overall, and it's nice to see extra games being a part of this round of Xbox's Free Play Days. If you've got a Game Pass subcription, you can start playing any of these games now.
