Rihanna Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumors With the Perfect Response
Rihanna has always shone bright like a diamond to A$AP Rocky.
Even before their longstanding friendship took a turn for the romantic in 2020, A$AP knew his future partner was something special.
“This woman has always been magic,” he told W Magazine in a feature published April 21. “Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched—one of a kind.”
As he put it, “I just adore her.”
A$AP (real name Rakim Athleston Mayers) also shared some insight into how he and the “Diamonds” singer spend their time together—when they’re not busy with their sons RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and daughter Rocki, 7 months, that is.
“We have so many of the same interests,” he said of Rihanna, who is featured on W's latest cover with Rocki. “We were addicted to watching documentaries, like the Bob Marley one. Watching films together is so fun. We must’ve watched El Cantante 15 times.”
Of course, Rihanna has changed in the more than two decades since she and A$AP became friends, then partners and then parents: “She became a mother in that time span,” he pointed out, “and that certainly changes you.”
But parenthood has also changed both of them.

“I wanted to be a dad before I got with my girl,” he told Esquire in January. “I wanted a little baby girl or boy, whatever God gave, and God blessed me with three.”
So when A$AP did finally become a girl dad in 2025, he once again felt a shifting.
“Being a girl dad at this point kinda makes you more vulnerable,” the 37-year-old told E! News in November. “And I’m ready for that stage in my life. It makes you way more agile and precious with everything. I think that it fits me and suits me well.”

And while the rapper may have some f--kin' problems to deal with, fatherhood is not one of them.
“Being a dad in general is just amazing,” he added. “And it’s life changing.”
As for Rihanna, she’s grateful that the timing of her relationship with A$AP played out the way it did, finally turning romantic amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like God knew we needed because we were going to start a family,” she told Interview Magazine in 2024. “Had it not been for COVID, we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready.”
The 38-year-old continued, “There was no denying it. It was the best thing that ever happened to us.”

"It was harder for me to keep it from my posse, because they're around me, they know my habits," she told E!'s Justin Sylvester. "They're like, 'You don't want something to drink? You're not smoking?' And I'm eating all the things I'm not used to eating. They know I hate sweets and I'm all of a sudden asking for cookies and donuts. But finally, I just had to let it all out, and they were all shocked, of course, as the world was shocked as well."
