Combining the survival elements of Valheim with the setting of Far Cry: Primal, this upcoming "hardcore survival simulator" is set to take the world by storm as it takes players back 40,000 years to the time of the hunter-gatherers. Developed by NatureGames, this immersive sandbox experience will push the limits of the survival simulation genre by tasking players with hunting, crafting primitive tools, and most of all, surviving the harshest of winters.
Paleolith Is One For Valheim Fans
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a caveman, then you are in luck, as Paleolith is set to recreate that time in a hardcore survival experience. With no technology or magic at your disposal, it will be up to your own skills and instincts to survive against nature itself, and fight to survive in prehistoric Europe.
Paleolith is a hardcore first-person survival simulator set in the unforgiving wilderness of humanity's dawn. With nothing but your wits and primal survival skills, you must endure a world where nature is harsh but fair.
Battling against nature itself is no easy task. Broken bones have to heal by themselves, hunger has to be satiated by hunting or scouring the land, and wrapping yourself in animal furs is the only way to combat the cold. However, with other animals also wishing to stay alive, you must always keep one ear to the wind to stop yourself becoming their unfortunate prey. With every second of Paleolith testing your survival skills, this pushes the very limits of the genre, and reimagines what titles such as Valheim would look like without that magical element.
Paleolith Has A Playtest You Can Register For Now
From complex crafting to cunning wildlife and cruel seasons to unpredictable threats, Paleolith will be unforgiving as players battle scorching temperatures, poisonous plants, wild animals, and dwindling resources. However, by relying on your instincts, you will be able to craft a shelter, stock up on food, and arm yourself against any dangers.
Paleolith does not yet have a full launch date, but Steam users can now request access to a playtest which aims to take place this month. If selected, you will be emailed, and will soon be able to dive into a prehistoric survival game unlike any other. So, if you trust your survival skills, and think you have what it takes to survive one of the most punishing survival games of all time, you will want to add Paleolith to your wishlist, and if you are lucky, dive in ahead of everybody else.
