Cartoon Network’s 92% RT Masterpiece Officially Returns in One Month With New Series

Many of us can agree that Cartoon Network was a huge part of childhood, producing some of the most iconic cartoons of all time, from The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ben 10, and everything in between. Ben 10’s official reboot kicks off on May 6, 2026, with a brand-new comic series promising a fresh take on the 21st-century classic that was a childhood staple for many. This fresh take on the franchise is brought to fans by Dynamite Entertainment in partnership with Man of Action Studios, the team that created the iconic series, ensuring that the new run stays true to the tone, characters, and lore fans have come to know and love.

Spearheading the series will be writer Joe Casey, artist Robert Carey, and Man of Action members Duncan Rouleau, Dustin Nguyen, and Sebastian Piriz. Because the series starts from the beginning, it is also perfect for new fans as well as those chasing the classic Ben 10 days.

Ben 10 Returns Alongside His Original Creators in May With a Brand-New Series

As a quick refresher for longtime fans and a rundown for new fans, Ben 10 centers on 10-year-old Ben Tennyson. After a mysterious meteor crashes to Earth, he discovers the Omnitrix, a high-tech alien gauntlet of incredible power that, when worn on his wrist, allows him to transform into incredible alien forms from different planets across the universe.

What sets this series apart from the original TV series, beyond its comic format, is that it is the modern, definitive take on Ben 10. Fans will remember that the series first premiered in 2005. Hence, it has been over 20 years since the pilot episode, so this new series will reimagine the iconic story for modern audiences and times.

Based on future solicitations for the series, we also know that part of the premise will revolve around Ben Tennyson on the run from the United States Army, which is hunting him and his Omnitrix. The series will also bring back fan-favorite characters, including Ben’s grandfather, Max Tennyson, and his cousin, Gwen Tennyson. At the moment, there is no mention of Kevin Levin, but OG fans will undoubtedly be keeping their fingers crossed for his debut in the series.

Now in possession of a mysterious alien device, not only is young Ben Tennyson taking on a variety of strange, otherworldly forms, but the United States army has him on the run! He’s learning more about the Omnitrix – the hard way! Also hot on Ben’s trail is his grandfather, Max, a man with his own set of secrets. Not to mention cousin Gwen, who isn’t about to sit out these adventures either!
