I love it when the Mini Crossword is just a solid chunk of squares, with few black spaces. Sometimes I can just answer the Across clues and it fills in the whole puzzle without having to even look at the Down clues. That almost happened today, until I tried to solve the clue about Italian currency and I filled in the singular version, not the plural (it ends with a different letter). It's no fun when the puzzle tells you, "You've filled in all the squares, but something is amiss." Whoops. I fixed it, but it definitely slowed me down a bit.
