Titus Welliver might be best known for playing Harry Bosch on the small screen, but the accomplished actor also has an impressive movie resume too.

A total of 10 months after its theatrical release, Abraham's Boys will officially release on Hulu next month. Written and directed by Natasha Kermani, based on the short story by Joe Hill, the 2025 horror film stars Titus Welliver as Abraham Van Helsing, nearly two decades after the events of Dracula, as he moves his two boys to California in an attempt to escape their past.

Joe Hill is the best-selling author of Locke & Key and The Black Phone.

Now, following its theatrical release on July 11, Abraham's Boys will finally be released on Hulu on May 12. The movie is currently streaming on AMC+, and has been available to rent or buy on digital platforms – such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home – since August 5.

In addition to Titus Welliver as Van Helsing, the cast also includes Jocelin Donahue as his wife, Mina Van Helsing, and Brady Hepner and Judah Mackey as their two sons, Max and Rudy.

Abraham's Boys positions itself as a canonical sequel to Dracula, adhering to the novel's events except for the final addendum, which notes that Mina and Jonathan Harker remained alive and married seven years after Dracula's defeat and had a son named Quincey, named after Quincey Morris.

Abraham's Boys received mostly negative reviews, resulting in a disappointing 40% Rotten Tomatoes score, with critics claiming that it drains its source material of life, trading it for dull plotting and deceptive story turns. Its audience score is even worse at 27%.

After premiering at the Overlook Film Festival in April 2025, the horror movie was released in limited theaters in the United States on July 11 and made only $212,706 at the box office on a small indie-level budget. But, for fans of Titus Welliver and Bosch especially, Abraham's Boys could become a big streaming hit on Hulu.
