Season 2 of The Pitt shows a different side to Dr. Robby, and it appears to be a hit. In season 1, Dr. Robby and the rest of the team at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital had a lot to contend with as they struggled to keep on top of a packed emergency room, before ultimately dealing with a huge crisis event when Pitt Fest was targeted by a mass shooter.

Now, in The Pitt season 2, the pace has been steady, but the show has given more space to the doctors and nurses on call to allow them to develop more as individual characters and explore the dynamics around the emergency room. Which also highlights the bachelor lifestyle being lived by Dr. Robby.

In season 1, Dr. Robby is shown to have a romantic history with multiple people. Primarily, Dr. Heather Collins is seen to have been in a relationship with Robby at some undisclosed point in time before the show begins, but their relationship appears to have ended on bad terms, and Dr. Collins still holds some negative feelings for Robby.

In addition, the young man who visits Robby in the ER before going on to attend Pitt Fest with his girlfriend is shown to have a strong connection to Robby, owing to the fact that Dr. Robby was in a relationship with his mother as he was growing up. With that in mind, we see two rocky relationships from Robby's past, but he doesn't appear to be in a place to pursue a more committed relationship going forward.

Fast-forward to The Pitt season 2, which is set roughly 10 months later, and Robby is in a very different position. He still carries a heavy mental burden, which is alluded to in the fact that he needs a three-month sabbatical to get his head clear, but he is also starting to explore some new romantic connections.

At one point, a nurse is called down from a different floor to help navigate insurance details for a patient whose insurance requires him to be treated in another hospital. However, it becomes clear very quickly that Robby and this woman have sparks flying between them, indicating they are in the early stages of dating.

Then, in episode 4, Dr. Robby and Dr. Al-Hashimi share a surprisingly flirtatious moment when his replacement suggests they go out for drinks with her prize winnings from the bet taking place in the ER. All things considered, it seems as though Dr. Robby is making some solid connections, but whether he is ready to commit is another story for The Pitt to explore.
