The Block buyer's agent Frank Valentic has revealed how just a few simple updates could increase the value of your home by up to $100,000.
Known for bidding on behalf of clients and his well-publicised feud with IT entrepreneur Danny Wallis on the Channel Nine show, Frank revealed a few tips and tricks to get the most out of your property in 2025.
Speaking to realestate.com.au, Frank offered 11 tips to add value to your abode with some as simple as updating carpet and giving the walls a fresh coat of paint.
'Update your front fence, garden and paint your front door to boost the home's curb appeal,' Frank advised.
He added that when planning any renovation it is important to stick to a budget and he recommended that expenditure should not exceed 10% of the value of the home to maximise profit in any eventual sale.
'Talk with a local real estate agent to make sure what you spend will get $2 back for ever $1 you spend,' he also recommended.

For those looking to roll their sleeves up a little more, Frank also shared some more extensive renovation tips.
He said that kitchen or bathroom updates are value adders, while adding a bedroom, if the floorplan and budget can cope, would also increase the home's attractiveness to potential buyers.
Removing non-load bearing walls to create open-plan areas, particularly in older homes, was also on Frank's to-do list.
He also recommended creating a 'work from home' space in any alcoves or recesses in the home with the addition of a sliding door.
Frank also explained that it's important to increase the 'eye appeal' and functionality of the yard as well.
He said that the addition of a pergola in the backyard will give the space an extra use and 'create a sense of indoor-outdoor living'.
He also urged potential renovators to consider converting part of the front yard into off-street parking.
Prior to The Block's recent Phillip Island auction, Frank recently said he was hopeful of picking up his tenth property on the show.

'It is Block auction day and we look forward to bidding on our 16th Melbourne series in a row,' he wrote.
'We are hoping to buy our tenth property on The Block after having bid on 55 out of the previous 70 auctions. Though as always, we will stick to our budget limits and not carried away with The Block hype.'
However it was not to be, with Adrian Portelli eventually picking up all five houses from the 2024 season.
Taking to Instagram again after the result, Frank shared his disappointment, admitting the Block auctions were always 'unpredictable'.
'The Block auctions are always a rollercoaster ride as there are always unpredictable moments,' Frank shared.
'We have five disappointed investor clients and holiday home buyers as we didn't get much of a look in as prices went well above our client's limits and the $2million dollar mark that local agents valued them at.'
Adrian spent a total of $15.03million to secure all five Phillip Island properties.
Maddie and Charlotte Harry became the youngest-ever auction winners of The Block, taking home an eye-watering $1.65million profit.

The sisters, who were latecomers to the 2024 series, secured the highest bid on the day, with their renovated Phillip Island property selling for $3.5million.
Back in August, Frank put his stunning Edwardian-era Melbourne home on the market with a price guide of $2.95 million to $3.15 million.
Frank, who was downsizing to a smaller home in Elwood, had meticulously maintained the property.
The star feature of his home is undoubtedly the double garage, which Valentic affectionately refers to as his 'man cave'.
The property was on the market for less than a month, eventually changing hands in September for an undisclosed price.
