Police Academy star Steve Guttenberg sprung into action over 40 years after the release of the film as a deadly wildfire is ripping through the Pacific Palisades in California.
The fast moving-blaze has triggered the evacuation of its 20,000 residents and forcing panicked Californians to ditch their cars in the middle of the road as they're forced to leave.
The 66-year-old actor did not just stand by and instead opted to assist firefighters by moving cars in order to make room for the incoming fire trucks.
He told KTLA 5's Gene Kang: 'What’s happening is people take their keys with them as if they’re in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars.
'If you leave your car behind, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up there.'
Guttenberg explained that he has friends who are unable to evacuate due to the traffic jam on Palisades Drive as he said: 'It's really, really important.
