Tulsa King is returning to the small screen before the end of the year.

Now, an update on the series has come from Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison via an earnings call that took place on May 4. The transcript of the call features Ellison including Tulsa King on a list of series that are set to air new seasons in 2026, which also included the Taylor Sheridan espionage series Lioness, the George Clooney-produced thriller The Agency: Central Intelligence, and the Tom Hardy crime drama MobLand. Read Ellison's full quote below:

I think if you take a look at what's obviously coming in 2026. We have new seasons of The Agency, Star Trek, Lioness, MobLand and Tulsa King.

While Ellison's comment does not specify the official release date for Tulsa King season 4, it does solidly commit to a 2026 release for the season, which helps narrow down its release window considerably. In a year that has seen a robust roster of Taylor Sheridan shows hit Paramount+, there are only a few gaps in the schedule where it might make sense for the show to premiere.

Already, the new Taylor Sheridan series The Madison aired in its entirety in March, following the conclusion of Landman season 2 in January. Additionally, the Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch (which Sheridan executive produced) is set to run from May 15 through July 3, followed by Lioness season 3, which star Michael Kelly recently told Collider is expected to premiere "somewhere around the end of summer."

This establishes a pattern of Sheridan's new Paramount+ shows debuting new seasons roughly two months after the previous show ends. Presuming Lioness premieres in late August and runs through early October, this would allow season 4 of the Stallone series to slot neatly into a debut in mid-to-late December. Should that be the case, it will debut just over a year after Tulsa King season 3 went off the air on November 25, 2025.

With this update, Paramount+ has reinforced the trend of new Tulsa King seasons being produced at a relatively steady clip for a streaming series. Although the hiatus between the season 1 finale and the season 2 premiere lasted one year and eight months (partially due to delays amid the 2023 strikes when writers and actors took to the picket lines to fight for fair pay), season 3 came just 10 months after the season 2 finale.

Paramount+'s interest in keeping the series consistently on the air has been reflected by the fact that there is also a Tulsa King spinoff in the works. Titled Frisco King, the series is set to take place in Frisco, Texas and follow Samuel L. Jackson's season 3 character Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman who was in prison with The General before the events of the flagship series.
