Adam Blevins began working in the entertainment industry in 2022 as a Staff Writer for Agents of Fandom, where he progressed to Senior Editor and interviewed talent from Marvel Studios, House of the Dragon, and Planet of the Apes. He joined Collider as a News Author in April 2024, was promoted to a Senior position in December 2024, and has written over 3,000 articles for the site, including exclusives relating to Avengers: Doomsday, The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. He primarily writes about the latest box office numbers and the hottest movies and TV shows on streaming, while also covering superhero and sci-fi news. He has completed a set visit for The Chosen and even has several months of experience writing Gaming Features at ScreenRant. You can find him on X, LinkedIn, and Muckrack.

While Taylor Sheridan is best known for his work writing popular contemporary Western TV shows like Yellowstone and Landman, he got his start more than 10 years ago writing neo-Western action thrill-rides like Sicario. It wasn’t until years into his writing career that Sheridan began penning the scripts for TV shows, but it became clear right away that this was where his bread was buttered. Sheridan has been focusing solely on TV shows for years, both expanding the Yellowstone universe with spin-offs like 1883 and 1923, and creating new originals, such as Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown. Sheridan also has no trouble getting some of the biggest stars in the world to headline his shows, as evidenced by the presence of Billy Bob Thornton, Jeremy Renner, Sylvester Stallone, and more.

When you’ve written as many movies and TV shows as Sheridan has, it’s only natural that there are going to be some misfires mixed in with the success stories. One of the most puzzling mixes came only five years ago on Without Remorse, the 2021 one-man-army action thriller starring Michael B. Jordan. The film is based on the popular Tom Clancy book of the same name, and it follows an elite Navy SEAL who goes on a mission to avenge his beloved wife’s sudden death, only to find himself in the middle of a much larger conspiracy. Sheridan wrote the script for Without Remorse, directed by Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado), and the film received poor marks of 45% from critics and 41% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. It was released straight-to-streaming on Prime Video upon its release.

Taylor Sheridan Fans Can’t Stop Clicking ‘Without Remorse’

In America, Without Remorse is still streaming on Prime Video, but the film has also been added to MGM+, Prime Video’s sister streaming service. However, in some countries where access to Without Remorse on streaming may be limited, the film has begun charting in the VOD top 10, where it’s become one of the top 10 most popular purchases in more than five countries around the world. In addition to Michael B. Jordan, Without Remorse also stars Jodie Turner-Smith (The Acolyte) and Guy Pearce (The Brutalist). Fans criticized the film for being an unfaithful adaptation of Clancy’s source material and for being more of a generic action movie.

Be sure to watch Without Remorse on Prime Video or MGM+ in America, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
