The PhilippinesGushcloud is at the Hong Kong FilMart with a slate of several titles, highlighting four projects at the HKTDC Philippine Pavilion that span elevated folk horror, mythology-infused culinary horror, factual documentary and prestige drama — all anchored in Filipino and Asian-led storytelling.

The company will be scheduling pitch meetings across FilMart for its broader slate while centering its pavilion presence on the four featured projects. The slate is brought to market by Gushcloud Studios, the film and TV division of Gushcloud Intl., a creator economy company operating across 13 markets.

Leading the featured titles is “Lihim Na Luha” (international title: “Secret Cries”), a scripted feature film in advanced development that blends elevated folk horror with coming-of-age drama. The film follows a girl named Sunshine who, as her 13th birthday approaches, discovers her father has hidden a dark secret — that her mother was a creature of the night he killed to protect her — and must now rely on him to save her from the same curse awakening within her.

Writer-director Eileen Cabiling helms the project, with Asian A-list actor Jericho Rosales attached. Cinematographer Jae-Hyeok Lee, whose credits include “Escape From Mogadishu” and “Smugglers” as well as lighting work on “Okja,” “Pachinko” and Amazon’s “Butterfly,” is on board as director of photography. Harry Yoon, an L.A.-based editor with credits spanning “Minari,” “Beef,” “Euphoria,” “Shang-Chi” and “Thunderbolts,” is attached as editing and VFX consultant. Gushcloud is serving as development lead, co-producer and lead producer/executive producer.

“The Catch,” a scripted feature set at the intersection of horror, food culture and mythology, is also spotlighted. The film centers on a celebrated Filipino chef who secretly kills supernatural creatures and serves them to his unsuspecting clientele — until those creatures return for revenge. Luis Daniel Tabuena writes and directs. Broadway actor Red Concepcion and Jasmine Curtis-Smith are attached to star, with chef Jordy Navarro of Toyo Resto on board as culinary worldbuilding consultant. Provill Studios and Oculloris are attached as executive producers, with Gushcloud co-producing and serving as EP.

“The Beauty Revolution,” a premium factual documentary series, makes up the slate’s nonfiction entry. The travel, culture and beauty series explores ancestral rituals and mythic traditions driving contemporary wellness trends. Michelle Dee is attached to host and Cory S. Martin is directing. J Creative Entertainment and Banijay’s Creasia Studio are attached as executive producers alongside Gushcloud.

The fourth pavilion title, “Society,” is a scripted series pitched as ” ‘Succession’ meets ‘Dynasty'” set in the Philippines. The show follows a young Filipino-American woman with a secret vendetta who uses AI to pit two rival dynasties against each other — only to discover she is heir to the very family she seeks to destroy. J Creative Entertainment is attached as executive producer, with Gushcloud developing, producing and serving as EP.
