Russo Bros' New Avengers: Doomsday Tease — The Russo Brothers shared this week that Avengers: Doomsday will be a whole "new level" compared to past MCU releases:
"We also run at the complexity and the difficulty of what these movies can do at a narrative level. I think we've found a new level of that in Doomsday.”
The Russos went to confirm that Doctor Doom demands "a certain tone", one they feel confident they've found with the upcoming Avengers movie.
80's In-Universe Wonder Man Trailer Released — Following the success of Wonder Man, Marvel Studios has released the in-universe trailer for the original 1980s Wonder Man movie that inspired Simon Williams to get into acting, leading to his being cast in the modern-day reboot.
RDJ's Doomsday Super Bowl Jersey — During the Super Bowl, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife posted a picture of themselves wearing super cool Doctor Doom-inspired football jerseys, teasing Downey's upcoming role in Avengers: Doomsday.
Joe Keery MCU Spider-Man Casting Rumors — While promoting his new movie Cold Storage, Stranger Things actor Joe Keery acknowledged rumors about his potentially playing a version of Harry Osborn in the MCU, confirming that it would be a role he'd be excited to one day play.
Chris Hemsworth Teases Potential Loki & Thor MCU Reunion — While promoting Crime 101, Hemsworth confirmed this week that Avengers: Doomsday will very much "blow people away", though he remained fairly ambiguous when asked about the potential for a Thor/Loki MCU reunion.
The MCU's Jac Schaeffer Signs New Deal With Amazon MGM Studios — It was also confirmed this week that WandaVision and Agatha All Along's Jac Schaeffer has signed a three-year deal with Amazon MGM Studios, suggesting that it might be a few years before she returns to produce anything in the MCU.
DCU News: Supergirl Takeover, Lantenrs, And More
Supergirl Taking Over Superman Day in April — Ahead of the Supergirl movie's release in June, DC Comics has announced the "Summer of Supergirl" and that Kara Zor-El will be taking over Superman Day in April with variant comic book covers, special releases, and more.
John Stewart Will Have His Green Lantern Ring In Lanterns — Although there have been theories that Aaron Pierre's John Stewart might not have his Lantern ring until he earns it by the series' end, comics legend and show screenwriter Tom King recently confirmed on the We Got Issues podcast that both Hal Jordan and Stewart will be wielding their rings in the upcoming DCU show.
Emerald Fennell Recalls Her Pre-DCU Zatanna Script — While promoting her new movie Wuthering Heights, director Emerald Fennell recalled her previous Zatanna script for Warner Bros, back when the studio was still developing a Justice League Dark franchise with J.J. Abrams.
Reeves' The Batman and DCU Batman Will Be Visually Distinct — A report from THR also confirmed that DC Studios wants to make Matt Reeves' The Batman and the upcoming DCU Batman visually distinct from each other. This suggests that the DCU Batman may have some long-hoped-for costume elements to help him stand apart from Robert Pattinson's version, like a blue cape and cowl and/or white lenses for the eyes.

The DC Universe is one of the biggest comic book franchises and often competes with Marvel. DC Comics started as National Allied Publications, founded by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1935. Since then, the franchise has exploded with thousands of comic books, movies, TV shows, and video games. 2013 marked the beginning of the most recent iteration of the superheroes, with Zack Snyder introducing Henry Cavill as Superman. After several movies with mixed reviews, DC underwent a soft reboot under the helm of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
