In the gaming sphere, the question on everybody's lips is when we can expect to see the launch of The Elder Scrolls VI. Or even an update? A trailer? Anything would be appreciated at this point, considering the Bethesda RPG was first announced back in 2018 alongside a very brief, teaser trailer. Since then, fans have received little to no official information about the highly anticipated title, leading many to take on detective work in their spare time.

That has definitely been the case for one user over on r/TESVI who has discovered an interesting piece of information regarding the potential release window for The Elder Scrolls VI.

At the time of writing, we have no clue when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released. Some believe it may be as early as next year, whilst others do not expect to see it until at least 2030. Although Bethesda has not confirmed nor denied anybody's estimates, a recent discovery has actually filled fans with hope, for once. Discovered by Timur222 on Twitter, and reposted by one user over on r/TESVI, The Elder Scrolls VI may actually launch before 2030.

According to the LinkedIn profile of Bethesda Game Studios Programmer Jeffrey Frampton, when listing the projects he has been a part of or will be a part of, an "Unannounced" project was listed at the top with the date "202X". So what does this tell us? Well, firstly, we can assume he is referring to TES VI, and although it does not tell us a specific year, it does reveal that it will at least be before 2030. If this is correct, we could see Bethesda launch the game over the next three years.

The Elder Scrolls Fans Are Desperate For News

Of course, this news is worth taking with a pinch of salt, as this "Unannounced" project may not even be The Elder Scrolls VI. However, with fans desperate for news, it is no wonder that small surprises like this are enough to cause discourse across social media. As such, fans took to the Reddit thread to share their thoughts on the latest discovery.

"If the game releases beyond 2028, something went wrong during development," the top comment reads. "A longer dev cycle does not mean the game will automatically be better. Also, the way Todd talks about the development of TES VI makes it clear that everything is going smoothly. I'm pretty confident in a late 2027 to early 2028 release window." Another agreed, adding, "I think 2030+ is unrealistic for a release date honestly. The devs themselves probably don't have a release date, they just have rough estimates at best."

It remains to be seen when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released, but with no updates or trailers under its belt over the past few years, fans are still remaining hopeful despite it all.
