The digital marketplace has its advantages, namely, sales. It's easy to get games for dirt cheap on Steam on a whim, especially if sales are constantly happening.

Of course, there's also a dark side to digital. Beyond the concern of renting digital licenses at a publisher's whim, games can be pulled entirely. Take this particular game on Steam, which has "very positive" user reviews; you'll want to pick it up quickly.

Steam Is Delisting This 2024 Game

Very Soon

Puppet Master Arena

Released in 2024, Puppet Master: The Game is based on the 1989 camp horror classic Puppet Master, directed by David Schmoeller. It deals with magical evil puppets, who terrorize the cast. In the 2024 game, you'll take on the role of many characters from the films as you duke it out online against other players. Hilariously, you can even play as regular-sized humans taking on the tiny puppets.

Some fans are already lamenting the game's delisting, noting that it had a chance to succeed if people discovered it: "All this game needed was proper sponsoring. A few big gaming YouTubers like Markiplier or Vanoss, or even a lot of mid-sized channels, and this game could have had a small but strong user base. I LOVE IT. I haven't had that much fun or laughed that hard in a long time. Wish they wouldn't remove it from Steam. If anyone wants to get a group together to play, hmu. We need to bring this game to life. got a couple others willing to play as well."

So far, one of the only negative recent reviews expresses disappointment with the playerbase pool, or lack thereof: "It's a fun game, but it's hard to find a game with more than two people." If you're a fan of the film series or multiplayer horror games in general, you could do worse than checking this one out for free while you have the chance.

You Have Until February 25 To Get It Free

Grab It Before Then

Puppet Master Toy Soldier Aiming

If that sounds fun, you only have a limited time to play Puppet Master: The Game, as it's being completely delisted on February 25, 2026. Thankfully, the base game is free right now, and while I wouldn't recommend picking up the DLC for a game that's about to be delisted, it's also 50-75% off and adds more skins to the game.

Note, however, that the skin packs are "cosmetic-only," as the team's goal was to make the game free "without paywalls." That includes all maps and characters available in the base game. It's a shame it's getting delisted.

It's easy to find deals if you're hanging around on Steam, and this Puppet Master pickup could be a way to get over a rainy day weekend. Make sure you experience it before it's gone.
