Stacey Solomon treated her fans to another home update on Friday as she gave a glimpse at her renovated orange bathroom and quipped: 'I'm ready for people to hate this'.

The TV presenter, 37, and Joe Swash, 44, recently shocked their fans when they announced they had sold their family home, affectionately dubbed Pickle Cottage, to purchase a £2million Essex mansion.

And Stacey has been keeping fans involved as she renovates and decorates her new house.

In her latest Instagram update she showed off the new bathroom and revealed she had decided to keep the orange sink, toilet and bath that were in the original room.

She upcycled the items as well as adding striped wallpaper to give the room a more modern feel.

She penned in the caption of her post: 'The Orange Bathroom! I'm ready for people to hate this But honestly I love it so so much…

'Swipe to the end to see how it started. As soon as I saw this tangerine bath set I fell in love with it.

'I just couldn't throw it away it was so pretty. I have plenty of rooms to be neutral in but this is the boys upstairs bathroom & they LOVE this colour so I got to have so much fun in here bringing colour back to life.

'This room now just makes me happy as soon as I open the door. It's so bright and cheerful.

'We have a few snagging bits to do & I think I need to add some more bits and bobs but here she is! One room done ✔️ Wahoo.'

In a post last month she showed off the sink, toilet and bath tub looking tatty as she penned: 'First Upcycle at pickle project… basically doing THE MOST to convince people (and myself) that the orange suite needs to stay.

'I mean look at her now. Surely it has to stay? I think I can make a pretty orange bathroom… Yay or Nay?'

Stacey has reportedly bought her new £2million home without the help of her 'husband' Joe – after also being the sole owner of their previous house.

Stacey bought Pickle Cottage for £1.3million in 2021 and referred to it as the family's 'forever home', before revealing their plans to move five years later.

It comes after it was revealed earlier this year that while the pair wed in a romantic ceremony in the cottage's garden in 2022, they are yet to formally register their marriage so are not legally husband and wife.

Stacey has reportedly bought her new £2million home without the help of her 'husband' Joe – after also being the sole owner of their previous house

And according to new reports, Stacey has again bought a property without Joe, with an insider claiming it 'made sense' for her to be the purchaser.

A source said: 'Stacey's a canny businesswoman and was also the sole owner of Pickle Cottage, which sold for over £1million, so it made sense she'd buy the new home on her own.'

They added to The Sun: 'She even got some money knocked off the official asking price. She paid over £2million for the new Essex mansion – but she's worth over £10million so that's not even a dent in her bank balance.'

In comparison, Stacey's partner Joe has a net worth of £1.5million.

The Daily Mail reached out to Stacey's reps for comment.
