Netflix's Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is a horror series to remember, and that's all thanks to its excellent cast. The series is created by Haley Z. Boston and executive produced by Stranger Things' The Duffer Brothers, so it was already set up spectacularly. Add in a cast that effortlessly radiates chills and thrills, not to mention a unique and even slightly comical premise, and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen couldn't have gone wrong.

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen follows an engaged couple, Rachel Harkin and Nicky Cunningham, as they head upstate to get married. The ceremony will take place at the luxury cabin belonging to Nicky's family, and while that would seem like a dream come true, Rachel can't shake the feeling that something very bad is going to happen. It certainly doesn't help that Nicky's family is far from normal. Each character in this horror miniseries adds something to Rachel's superstitious suspicions—a true testament to the actors who play them.

Camila Morrone As Rachel Harkin

Adam DiMarco As Nicky Cunningham

Nicky comes from a large and wealthy family, and believes he has learned all he needs to know about love from his parents. He and Rachel have a sweet and quirky relationship, though that doesn't save the latter from her anxieties.

Jennifer Jason Leigh As Victoria Cunningham

In Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, Jason Leigh plays Victoria Cunningham, Nicky's beloved mother. There's no question that Victoria is strange, though the woman treats Rachel with kindness, at the very least. Regardless, there appears to be considerable pressure within the Cunningham family to keep Victoria happy.

Ted Levine As Boris Cunningham

Levine plays Boris in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, the Cunningham patriarch. Boris is a man of few words. However, like Rachel, he's a bit superstitious. The man was rather hard on his kids as they grew up, but he is endlessly devoted to his wife, Victoria.

Jeff Wilbusch As Jules Cunningham

Israeli-German actor Jeff Wilbusch had his breakthrough in 2018 with the Hulu miniseries Bad Banks before landing leading roles in projects such as Unorthodox (2020), Netflix's Keep Breathing (2022), and Peacock's The Calling (2022).

Wilbusch plays Jules in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, Nicky's older brother. Jules, a doctor like his father, also doesn't initially have much to say to Rachel in this Netflix series. He has a deeply complicated relationship with Nicky, stemming from years of competitiveness and favoritism.

Karla Crome As Nell Cunningham

Gus Birney As Portia Cunningham

Birney plays Portia Cunningham in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, Nicky's younger sister. She's the most outgoing in the family and therefore receives the most of Rachel's attention. However, Portia possesses all the expected spoiled behavior of the youngest child of such a wealthy and notably bizarre family.
