Sister Wives star Kody Brown is facing the music as he gets compared to his ex-Christine Brown’s new husband, David Woolley, who he very clearly detests. Christine became Kody's third wife on March 25, 1994, during a "spiritual" wedding ceremony. The marriage was never legally binding, yet Christine stayed even after Kody introduced a fourth wife. Christine became increasingly uncomfortable with plural marriage. She reached a point where every day was hard. Kody and Christine's marriage made Christine feel miserable, jealous, and angry. Christine confessed she felt like "just a really small spot" in his bigger picture.

However, it was now Kody’s chance to feel miserable once Christine moved on and found a man who made her feel important. Christine had hinted at not feeling safe with Kody, while David became her safety net. Christine called David the love of her life in February 2023. She could feel like her soul had taken its first breath when David held her close. David proposed to Christine in April 2023 and the couple got married six months later. Christine gushed how she never dreamed she could find a love like this.

David's Only Focus Is Christine

David has proved time and again that he is the better choice for her between him and Kody. The most important thing that sets David apart from Christine’s other ex is the way he only has all eyes on her. Christine doesn’t have to “share” David with anyone else. Kody was frequently called out for prioritizing Robyn over Christine and the other wives. With David, Christine has nothing to worry about in that department.

Kody Never Prioritized Christine

Having four wives should have made Kody divide his time equally among them. He ended up showing favoritism towards one and breaking the hearts of the others. Kody was surprised when all but one decided to leave their marriages. Christine would never have met David if she hadn’t prioritized herself. Their romance was rushed, yes, but that red flag was overshadowed by David being committed only to Christine. The monogamous man might be imperfect, but he has repeatedly proved critics wrong about his genuine feelings for his wife.

The biggest red flag about David and Christine’s relationship was their getting engaged within six months of dating. Questions were raised about David being a clout chaser and a fickle friend who was with Christine for her fame and money. However, David never exerted any control over Christine. He lets her have her space and doesn’t try to steal her spotlight under any circumstances. David lacks Kody’s terrible personality and lack of accountability, which also makes him a better human than Kody’s ex.

Kody’s insecurity when he claimed that David had more eye contact with Robyn than with him while talking was disturbing. David’s daughter said David had a crush on Christine and knew who she was briefly from the show. When she told her dad Christine was now officially single, David was excited and wanted to date her. David and Christine coming together and dating and now being married was nothing short of a rom-com plot that Christine could never have replicated with Kody. Christine and David’s timeline in Sister Wives could be shady, but their love isn’t.
