Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2026: Celebrity Red Carpet Fashion

Sarah Pidgeon continued to dress the part at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The Love Story star, who's been enchanting audiences with her portrayal of Carolyn Bessette opposite Paul Anthony Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr., hit the premiere Oscars after-party dressed in custom Calvin Klein Collection.

The beaded silvery-white gown, aside from looking chic as hell, is a nod to the years Carolyn spent in sales and then as a PR exec with the brand, which not unlike the title characters of the Ryan Murphy-produced FX/Hulu series, has become an object of renewed fascination.

Stylist Emma Jade Morrison, who's been working with Pidgeon as she's made the press and red carpet rounds on behalf of Love Story, did the honors once again for the Vanity Fair party, being held for the first time at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The 29-year-old actress looked fresh-faced in neutral makeup and carried a flask-shaped silver purse.

A number of Pidgeon's off-screen looks have paid homage to Bessette's legendary style, which she couldn't help but get immersed in while shooting the nine-episode series, which recreated everything from the effortless way she styled a white button-down to the endlessly imitated Narciso Rodriguez slip dress she wore when she wed JFK Jr. in 1996.

"There were collectors that we were able to pull from—and whether or not it was the actual piece that she herself wore, they wore the same pieces from the same collection,” Pidgeon told Vogue about channeling Bessette through fashion. “We found her Prada and Valentino coats, and fitted some Levi’s so that they looked exactly how they fit Carolyn.”

Plus, she continued, “The shoes that I got to wear were incredible—Manolo heels, Prada boots. I got a lot better at walking in heels after the show, I’ll tell you that much.”

And while Pidgeon has acknowledged that there will forever be something enigmatic about the late style icon, a reluctant public figure because of the doomed love story that ended with her and Kennedy's deaths in a plane crash in 1999, the actress hopes that she ultimately helped to make her seem more human, if not exactly relatable.

“What I hope is that people feel a little closer to knowing the woman behind the clothes,” Pidgeon explained. “She is known as this minimalist fashion icon, but I learned that she was also vivacious, funny, and had a wildness about her.”
