Sam Asghari Shares Message to Ex Britney Spears After Her DUI Arrest

Sam Asghari is preaching love.

Two weeks after Britney Spears was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, Sam—who finalized his divorce from the "Gimme More" singer in May 2024—shared a message to his ex.

"We have not spoken to each other, but I wish her the most success and recovery," Sam exclusively told E! News at the Elton John Foundation 2026 Oscars Viewing Party in Los Angeles. "I think privacy is the most important thing when it comes to that."

The 32-year-old—who debuted his romance with Brooke Irvine in January 2025—emphasized that Britney should have "the privacy she deserves" following the incident.

But the former Traitors contestant isn't only focusing on positivity in his personal life. In fact, he is doing a campaign with MISTR surrounding HIV prevention.

"It is sexy and bold, but it is for a serious cause," he explained. "The reason why I teamed up with MISTR is because they also do such a great job at fighting this stigma."

"That means the world to me, my best friends and my managers, my mentors, everybody I know," he added. "It touches my heart directly and I'm happy to strip away for the campaign."

Sam—who had met Britney while she was still under her former conservatorship, initiated by her dad Jamie Spears—has always done his best to support his loved one amid their hardest times. And that included Britney, whom he stood by through her legal battle with her dad.

"One of the hardest things to deal with when you go into entertainment is your parents and the people around you," Sam recalled on Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson's Sibling Revelry podcast in January 2025. "They take advantage because they think you owe something to them, which is so ridiculous. That was the most difficult and weird spiral thing that I've witnessed in my life ever."

Despite their breakup, the 32-year-old will always cheer Britney on from the sideline, adding that he's "always gonna be grateful and happy" to have been a part of her life.

"It was so much that we gone through so much as a couple," he added. "We learned so much and it was a beautiful experience."
