Michael J. Fox was forced to shut down wild death rumors after fans were sent into a frenzy over his supposed demise.

Turns out, the Back to the Future legend is very much alive, despite CNN’s colossal blunder that got everyone thinking he'd checked out.

On Wednesday, CNN posted an article with the ominous title Remembering the Life of Actor Michael J. Fox, which immediately raised alarms among his fanbase.

Fox, 64, quickly reassured fans through his rep, who confirmed to TMZ that the actor was doing just fine – and had even attended an event the day before, chatting it up on stage.

'Michael is doing great,' his rep said, adding, 'He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and giving interviews.'

CNN, meanwhile, quickly backpedaled, issuing a statement to TMZ that read: 'The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.'

Meanwhile, Fox, who has lived with Parkinson's disease since 1991, was out in full force on Tuesday.

He also made a surprise appearance at the Shrinking season 3 wrap party.

Bill Lawrence, co-creator of the Apple TV series, joined fellow co-creator and star Jason Segel at the event, which also saw a star-studded turnout featuring Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams and more.
