Rosamund Pike's new movie is set for its first-ever US streaming release next week.

Another important film release that she was part of is 2025's Hallow Road. The movie stars Pike as Maddie, playing opposite Matthew Rhys who portrays her husband, Frank. The psychological thriller follows the pair as they try to help their daughter, Alice (Megan McDonnell), cover up an accidental hit-and-run that she caused.

Now, Hulu has confirmed via their release schedule for May 2026 that Hallow Road is finally getting a home on streaming in the United States. The horror thriller movie will be arriving on the platform on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Although the movie is available to rent and buy on VOD in the US, this will be its first streaming release.

Reviews for Hallow Road have been almost universally positive, with the film currently holding a Certified Fresh 88% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has been praised for its intense storytelling, wild twists, and for the lead performances of Pike and Rhys. It's made the film a major part of Pike's latest releases in her career.

The movie was directed by Babak Anvari, who also wrote and directed the 2016 supernatural horror movie Under the Shadow and the 2022 crime drama I Came By. Anvari is also attached to direct the upcoming Cloverfield sequel in the works from Bad Robot. Hallow Road is his second-most critically praised film that he's directed.

Hallow Road was aided in its critical success by both Pike and Rhys' performances, something that has helped the movie stand out for most critics. Interestingly, the film holds a much lower score on Rotten Tomatoes with audiences, who have given it a 50%. It remains to be seen if its streaming release, and thus wider viewership, will aid in a potential bolstering of perspective.

The movie is one of two releases for Pike in 2025, though is undeniably her most well-reviewed. The other was in Now You See Me: Now You Don't, the third movie in the Now You See Me franchise. Both are notable for different reasons, but Hallow Road provides a high-octane thrill ride that never lets up on the psychological twists and horror elements.

Pike's upcoming roles include a handful of notable 2026 releases: In the Grey, an action thriller starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal; Ladies First, a romantic comedy with Pike starring opposite Sacha Baron Cohen; and Wife & Dog, where she'll star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Anthony Hopkins.

With Hallow Road arriving on Hulu at the end of next week, it won't be long until a larger audience in the United States can see the movie and judge for themselves if its critical reception makes it worthwhile. Since the film will have plenty of compelling twists and turns, it seems inevitable that it'll get plenty of recognition on the streaming platform.
