Reeflex has released Reeflex Pro Camera 3.0, a major update to its iOS photography app that introduces enhanced capture tools, improved performance, and a redesigned interface aimed at providing DSLR-style control on iPhone. The update brings advanced capture modes, faster performance, and workflow improvements, promising users the ability to create professional results directly from a smartphone.

Advanced Bracketing and Burst Capture

The Reeflex Pro Camera 3.0 update focuses on three key features: Focus Bracketing, Exposure Bracketing, and an upgraded Burst Mode. Focus Bracketing allows photographers to capture multiple frames across a defined focus range, producing edge-to-edge sharpness, a technique particularly useful for macro and landscape photography. Exposure Bracketing captures multiple exposures for high dynamic range blending, giving users control over both shadows and highlights in complex lighting conditions.

Burst Mode has been integrated directly into the shutter experience. By holding the shutter button, photographers can capture rapid sequences, with options for shot count, focus lock, and burst grouping available in settings. These improvements are supported by a rebuilt capture engine that eliminates shutter lag, providing near-instant capture and improved responsiveness during rapid shooting or when adjusting settings.

Refined Interface and Workflow Enhancements

Version 3.0 introduces a streamlined interface that improves usability without adding unnecessary complexity. Camera selection is now directly accessible from the viewfinder, while exposure monitoring tools such as histograms and zebra stripes have been repositioned to reduce visual obstruction. A new focus magnifier works alongside focus peaking to assist with precise manual focus.

Reeflex also supports independent placement of focus and exposure reticles, allowing photographers to fine-tune composition and exposure with simple gestures. These workflow-focused improvements aim to make advanced manual controls accessible to both enthusiasts and professionals, while maintaining an intuitive user experience.

Expanded Capture and Gallery Capabilities

Reeflex Pro Camera 3.0 supports JPG, HEIF, ProRAW, and RAW formats, with 12MP and 48MP capture available on compatible devices. The gallery system has been enhanced to include RAW and JPG tagging, burst grouping, and expanded metadata covering camera, lens, exposure settings, and GPS location.

Long exposure capabilities remain a highlight, with slow shutter modes including Motion Blur and Light Trails. Photographers can smooth water, clouds, or crowds and transform roads or night skies into flowing streams of light. Capture duration ranges from 0.5 seconds up to two hours, with an unlimited Bulb mode available, and all long exposures can be previewed live in real time.

The app has been recognized by the App Store as “App of the Day” and featured in “Apps We Love,” praised for combining full manual control with accessibility and creative flexibility. Looking ahead, Reeflex plans to introduce in-app stacking for both focus and exposure bracketing sequences, enabling photographers to process composite images directly within the app. The company is also developing native support for G-Series add-on lenses, enabling automatic optimization based on the attached hardware.

Pricing and Availability

Reeflex Pro Camera 3.0 is available on the Apple App Store for $14.99. The app requires iOS 15 or later, with ProRAW and 48MP capture supported on compatible devices. Reeflex also notes that users can access in-app tutorials, FAQs, and support through its website.
