Larger, More Spacious 2027 Kia Seltos Debuts With New Hybrid Variant

Kia's compact Seltos SUV gets a significant upgrade for the 2027 model year at the New York Auto Show.

The new model's wheelbase has been extended by 2.4 inches, which directly translates into increased legroom on its two rows.

Other dimensional increases boost head and shoulder room, as well as cargo capacity.

Inside, the Seltos see a big tech upgrade. The dashboard is now home to dual 12.3-inch displays.

Owners can also command their Seltos using the "Hey, Kia..." hotword to summon the Kia generative AI assistant.

At launch, the Seltos will be offered with the returning 2.0-liter naturally aspirated and 1.6-liter turbocharged combustion engines. Later this year, a 1.6-liter hybrid powertrain will join the ranks for the first time.

Pricing and fuel economy estimates are expected to be announced closer to the launch windows. The combustion variants arrive in the second quarter of 2026, followed by the Seltos HEV in the fourth quarter.
