PlayStation Plus is getting a bunch of new games added to its Game Catalog for the Extra and Premium tiers this month, and one of the free titles is also one of the very best games of the decade. Sony’s subscription service continues to change every month with the arrival of new titles, as well as some removals. PS Plus is getting eight free games in May, including titles like The Thaumaturge, Bramble: The Mountain King, and Star Wars Outlaws.
These three games are huge additions to the Game Catalog and significantly enhance the quality offered by the service. Members of the Premium tier will also gain access to the classic Time Crisis, originally released back in 1995. With eight games, there is a huge load of free content to explore, on top of what was already previously available for members, like the surprise drop of an update for Abiotic Favor on PS Plus.
PS Plus Is Getting Red Dead Redemption 2 For Free
However, the big surprise for May is the addition of Red Dead Redemption 2 to the Game Catalog. Arriving on the service on May 19, the action-adventure game by Rockstar will be made available for Extra and Premium tier members. The original Red Dead Redemption is on PS Plus, too, so you can play the whole saga for free if you’re subscribed to PS Plus in any of the aforementioned tiers.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the biggest releases of the decade, and to many players, it’s also one of the best games ever made. The title’s release back in 2018 was met with acclaim from critics and players alike, as it told the story of Arthur Morgan across a huge open-world map with countless possibilities. Nearly eight years later, fans are looking forward to the release of Red Dead Redemption 3, but the second installment in the series still has secrets to uncover with its hundreds of hours of gameplay.
The PS Plus Catalog In May Is Looking Juicy
It can take you around 60 hours to beat Red Dead Redemption 2, but there’s so much extra content that the playtime could easily go into the hundreds. This is, undisputably, one of the largest additions to the PS Plus Game Catalog as of late, but May is proving to be a big and juicy month for content. The aforementioned Star Wars Outlaws is also a lengthy game, with around 20 hours of campaign, though you could spend nearly 70 hours if you want to complete everything there is to do.
On top of all the previously mentioned games, you’ll also gain access to the content offered by Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Broken Sword - Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, and Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition. It’s proving to be a huge month for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and more is yet to come in the following months.
