One of the biggest benefits of being a PlayStation Plus member is access to the monthly rollout of free games, which are available to subscribers at every tier. With February's list of free games recently announced, members are getting more to look forward to than ever next month.

While PS Plus monthly games typically only include three titles, February's lineup of free games actually includes four titles, giving players an additional bonus game. The February games include Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and they'll be available for download starting Tuesday, February 3.

PlayStation Plus Subscribers Are Getting A Big Bonus

PlayStation Plus members typically get to take advantage of three free games every month as part of one of the service's most popular features. This month, however, subscribers officially received four games, meaning Sony decided to add a little bonus incentive for members and potential players who are thinking about subscribing.

If you're sitting on a PS Plus gift card or free trial, February wouldn't be a bad time to use it given the extra game included, and if you time it right, you might even be able to take advantage of both January and March's free games as well with a nifty little trick and some good timing.

If you're already a member, the monthly free games for PS Plus in February are a bit of a mixed bag, but there's at least one hidden gem in there that's well worth checking out. Subnautica: Below Zero is arguably one of the best survival games that nobody talks about, and it's completely free to play for PS Plus members in February.

Four Free Games Instead Of Three Is A Win

There's a little something for everyone in February's PS Plus slate of monthly free games. The 2023 boxing hit Undisputed is included for sports-game fans looking for something new to try out, while Ultros is a trippy Metroidvania published by the same company that brought you Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kepler Interactive.

Further, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a highly rated flight sim game from Bandai Namco that has 4.6 out of 5 stars on PlayStation and is considered one of the better games in the category. PS Plus subscribers of every tier are able to play monthly free games, and there's no doubt that four games is better than three.

Fans are hoping this is an ongoing trend as well, with the number of monthly games made available being a bit of an arbitrary choice that is only limited by Sony and how much they want to offer players.

Either way, February's PlayStation Plus lineup is a promising sign that the service could be ramping up its value, and it's a perfect time to subscribe if you've been waiting to pull the trigger on a subscription.
