PlayStation Plus isn't slowing down in April, despite the month coming to an end in just a few days. It's been a little over a week since the Extra and Premium games were added, with subscribers praising the graphics of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and hailing the return of Wilds Arms 4 after two decades. Now, PS Plus members are getting four more free game downloads.

This new batch contains some recognizable names, including one new game from Sony's PlayStation Studios that released only a month ago. There is, however, a small caveat here. These four games are not available to all PlayStation Plus members. Only subscribers of PS Plus Premium will be able to take advantage of this new offer, so if you're on a lower tier, you'll sadly be missing out.

As of April 23, PlayStation's Free Game Trials has added four new games to PS Plus to download and try if you're a Premium member. Those games are:

  • Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
  • Eternal Exodus
  • MLB The Show 26
  • The Midnight Walk

The game with the most brand recognition here is MLB The Show 26, a PlayStation Studios title that also has a free trial on Switch right now, and is currently discounted on multiple storefronts. There's no Switch 2 version, however, so giving this one a try on PS5 is probably preferable if you have both systems already and you're already a PS Plus member. You get a 3-hour trial, and the digital version of the game is also discounted to $49.69 (typically $69.99) on PlayStation right now.

The Midnight Walk has PS VR2 compatibility, but it's not required to play it on PS5. You control a clay figure called Potboy as you traverse a dark fantasy landscape. It's typically $29.99, and the PS Plus Premium free trial lets you check out 30 minutes of the game at no additional cost.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is an action RPG with Greek and Roman myth inspirations. It's got Mostly Positive reviews on Steam, where it's also currently got a 75% discount. So, if you give it a try on PlayStation and like it, you should be able to nab it on sale on a few different platforms, even though it's full price ($34.99) on PlayStation right now. The free trial lets you check out 2 hours of the game.

Eternal Exodus is basically Pokémon but set in the afterlife. It's a monster-catching RPG with 2D graphics that released a couple of weeks ago on PlayStation. It's usually $19.99 and has a pretty solid 3.75/5 review score on the PlayStation Store. You can play an hour of the game for free with PS Plus Premium.

Overall, these are some solid additions to the Free Game Trials perk of PS Plus Premium. If you're already a PlayStation Plus member, it's a good way to check out games that may have flown under your radar.
