Padma Lakshmi shares rare glimpse of lookalike daughter Krishna as she marks teen's 16th birthday

Padma Lakshmi took to Instagram this week to share photos and videos from daughter Krishna's 16th birthday.

The 55-year-old former Top Chef host posed in several selfies with her mini-me.

'Had an epic birthday week with the Teen,' she began in the caption of the carousel post.

Then she listed, 'Blowout dance party for her friends, a mom/daughter girls trip in sunny Miami for a few days, and then a birthday/belated Christmas ramen fest with cousins, aunties, and uncles at home in sweats!'

Lakshmi joked, 'For her 17th year I think I’m just gonna leave her alone! (Her suggestion, not mine. UGH!)'

Krishna's birthday was February 20, and her mom gushed in an earlier post, 'SIXTEEN YEARS OLD! Can you believe it? Officially not #littlehands anymore. Happy birthday my sweet girl.'

Lakshmi shares Krishna with 56-year-old venture capitalist Adam Dell, whom she'd only dated casually before becoming pregnant.

The trio appeared in a rare photo together on social media as they celebrated their daughter's middle school graduation in 2024.

At the time, the kitchen extraordinaire gushed on Instagram, 'I can’t believe my baby girl is off to high school after the Summer. 

'I want to thank all of the teachers, educators, counselors, security and staff at the United Nations International School for taking care of Krishna all these years. I’m so proud of Krishna and all she has achieved in her young, happy life.'

Last September the mom of one revealed the surprising piece of fashion advice her daughter gives her.

The television personality and Krishna were Vogue India's September cover stars, and opened up to the publication about how they influence each other's style.

While playing Tell the Truth in a social media video, the ladies admitted they 'silently judge' each other's outfits 'all the time.'

'We go by the five-second rule. If the other person can't change [their outfit] in five seconds and [the comment] is negative, don't say it. But before we leave the house, we're pretty brutal with each other,' Krishna confessed.

Lakshmi added about her mini-me, 'And she's always telling me to dress more provocatively.'

Elsewhere in the interview, Krishna said her mom reminds her of the fictional character Georgia from the Netflix comedy series Ginny & Georgia.

The high school sophomore explained, 'I think she's a survivor and I think my mom's had... from when you were born, the cards have not been in your favor.

'And I think you've made something of yourself... You're a survivor and you do what you need to to get where you need to be, and I admire that about you.'
