Carrie Bickmore has turned more than a few heads with a very risqué choice of work attire.

The broadcast veteran, 45, arrived for her shift on the Carrie & Tommy Show on Tuesday, wearing what appeared to be lingerie.

A photo, shared to the Carrie & Tommy Show Instagram page, showed her wearing an oversized hot pink T-shirt with a pair of black, lacy shorts.

Carrie's co-host Tommy Little was quick to broach the topic of Carrie's head-turning work garb.

'We are in a workplace, which begs me to ask the question of why you've worn your lingerie into work, and nothing else?' he asked.

Carrie was quick to protest Tommy's claim with: 'You're painting the wrong picture.'

Carrie Bickmore has turned more than a few heads with a very risqué choice of work attire

The broadcast veteran, 45, arrived for her shift on the Carrie & Tommy Show on Tuesday, wearing what appeared to be lingerie, and her co-host tommy Little was clearly shocked

However, producer Kieran Simpson also chimed in with: 'The top half is casual, the bottom half is inappropriate.'

Tommy continued his assessment of Carrie's work attire, adding: 'I can describe the top half but my eyes go no lower. The top half is kind of high school teenage boy.'

'Stop talking,' Carrie interrupted. 'I'm wearing a denim jacket, a hot pink oversized  tee. It's not a boy.'

Undeterred, Tommy added: 'And the bottom half is just jocks. It's special occasion jocks.'

Carrie then explained that she decided to wear the racy attire in a bid to keep up with trends.

'A week ago, I got sent a silky pair of shorts that have lace around the bottom. I was like: "In what situation am I meant to wear these?"' Carrie asked

Tommy cheekily replied: 'Someone's anniversary? Someone's birthday?'

Carrie continued: 'I thought they were for night time wear, but then my feed started showing me all these young girls are wearing lace dresses and lace shorts out as  their dress, with a baggy top or baggy jumper over the top.

'We are in a workplace, which begs me to ask the question of why you've worn your lingerie into work, and nothing else?' he asked

'I was like: "Oh my god, you idiot. They're not underwear, they're what people wear out now."'

However, Carrie admitted that her sartorial bubble was burst when arriving for work.

'So, I've worn them to work and the girls have now just told me they're either pyjamas or I'm wearing them wrong.'

As the discussion about Carrie's lacy shorts continued, she tried to shut it down with: 'I didn't come here for a critique.'

Leaping on the comedic opportunity, Tommy shot back with: 'No, you came here to get 50 dollar bills tucked into your [pants].'

Suitably put in her place, Carrie said that she would save her more eye-catching garb for another time.

'To be fair, I have been unsure how to wear them and now I understand I won't be wearing them to work again. I'll keep them for my after 6pm job,' she said.

When Tommy asked Carrie what her side-hustle was, she replied: 'I don't know, whatever I can get wearing these.'

The duo then opened up the discussion to listeners, with Carrie asking people to comment on the photo uploaded to Instagram.

'Is that OnlyFans or our page?' Tommy asked and Carrie replied: 'I'm going.'

It comes after Carrie was criticised for wearing a revealing outfit to her work colleague Jesse Watkins' wedding in February.

The radio star slipped into a shimmering cream two-piece set by Koster Kulture, which featured a long skirt with a high slit at the thigh, to watch Carrie & Tommy newsreader Jesse and her partner Caroline Varney tie the knot in the countryside.

Carrie told her fans she saw the outfit 'on a beautiful girl on New Year’s Day and asked what it was and stole her look!'

The former Project star was glowing from head to toe as she posed alongside her co-host Tommy Little amid persistent romance rumours.

While many of her followers praised the ensemble and thought it was stunning, others said the outfit was inappropriate, especially the colour.

'Hope the bride was ok with your Sexy Bride coloured dress,' one wrote, while another said: 'Stunning dress, but the colour is probably not suitable for a wedding.'

'Stunning! Although colour and cut out may not have been the right choice. Hope the bride was OK,' one other said.
