Photos of Hugh Jackman reveal change in Hollywood star's appearance

Hugh Jackman revealed a noticeable change in his appearance as he stepped out in New York City on Wednesday.

The 57-year-old Wolverine actor's greying hair caught attention in a series of candid snaps.

Up close, the Melbourne-born star has ashen strands through his usually dark locks.

The salt-and-pepper look shows Hugh is embracing his silver fox era.

Hugh looked as fit and energetic as ever in a pair of jeans, a patterned jumper and a windbreaker. 

At one point, Hugh was seen cheerfully waving at fans and giving a thumbs up as he rode through the streets on a Citi Bike.

Hugh put on his signature charisma as he posed for selfies with hoardes of fans. 

Earlier this month, it was reported that Hugh's wedding plans with his girlfriend Sutton Foster hit a snag, as he works at getting the two children he shares with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness on board. 

The Hollywood star has reportedly proposed to Sutton, 50, his former Broadway co-star, but sources say the road to the altar is far from simple, according to the National Enquirer.

Hugh and Furness, 70, finalised their divorce in June, in what many considered one of Hollywood's most surprising splits. 

The couple, long seen as one of Hollywood's strongest pairings, share two adopted children, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20.

Rumours have circulated that Hugh grew close to Sutton before his marriage ended, though nothing has been confirmed.

Months after the divorce was finalised, Hugh and Sutton made their red carpet debut as a couple, signalling that their professional partnership had blossomed into a romantic relationship.

Entertainment outlets have reported the pair were moving quickly towards engagement, with New Idea claiming Hugh has 'finally popped the question'. 

But not everyone in Hugh's circle is on board, as the National Enquirer quotes an unnamed source saying his children remain 'steadfastly loyal' to Furness and are, at least for now, struggling to celebrate their father's next chapter.

'Even though Hugh is excited to start this next chapter with Sutton, he has to be sensitive to his kids. They're incredibly protective of their mother... he wants to be respectful of that,' the source said.

This tension seems central to any delay in wedding plans – Hugh reportedly wants his children to not feel pressured into publicly endorsing a union they may not yet be ready to embrace. 

Last month, a new report claimed a wedding between Hugh and Sutton was imminent.

According to a source close to the couple, the wedding will take place as soon as Sutton's divorce from ex Ted Griffin is finalised. 

Hugh and Sutton's romance emerged following his split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.

The couple made their red-carpet debut at the 2025 AFI Fest in Hollywood in October.
