The Killing Eve prequel has finally revealed its cast.

The BBC's upcoming prequel to Killing Eve, titled Honey, has revealed its main spy and core ensemble, offering up new details about the upcoming spy thriller. Honey, which has yet to be confirmed as a Killing Eve prequel by the BBC, follows an MI6 agent who is deep undercover, attempting to avoid detection as she carries out an important mission.

Now, Deadline reports that Ann Skelly will be playing the lead role of Martha Schmitt in Honey, the agent who is undercover on an important assignment. She joins three other stars who have main billing in the show: Nate Mann as Kurt Fischer, Jannis Niewöhner as Friedrich Bauman, and Rory Kinnear as Graham Anderson.

A number of other cast members were also announced in various roles, those being Oliver Cudbill as Stefan Weiss, Sonita Henry as Anne Anderson, Victoria Mayer as Ingrid Schimmel, Valentino Dalle Mura as Rolf Muller, July Namir as Kamilla Akhmedova, Julian Niedermeier as Otto Kowalski, Sofia Oxenham as Greta Abstreiter, and Daniel Zielinski as Tomas Klein. Character details have yet to be revealed.

The story will focus on the conflict between Martha, as she tries to maintain her cover, and Friedrich, who is the Stasi Head of Counterespionage, seeking out any British spies in East Germany. The new series was created by Sid Gentle Films, who also developed Killing Eve, and will be written by Emma Moran.

Deadline first reported that Honey would be a Killing Eve prequel series back in April 2025. The outlet claims Skelly's Martha is actually a young Carolyn Martens, who was portrayed by Fiona Shaw in the original series. While the BBC have yet to confirm the show is a prequel, they haven't commented on its status one way or the other.

Killing Eve earned critical praise in its first two seasons. However, seasons 3 and 4 were panned by critics and audiences alike, culminating in a controversial ending that was almost universally disliked. The prequel, which will run for six episodes, doesn't seem like it'll feature versions of the two core characters from the original.
