Netflix’s New 8-Part Series With One Of Its Best Casts Is Officially A Must-Watch

2 weeks ago 13

Netflix's celebrated series with one of its best casts ever assembled just returned for its second season and is officially a must-watch this weekend. Picking up where its critically acclaimed first season left off, this star-studded romantic comedy series features nostalgic genre elements and is a remake of a beloved feature film from 1981. It's also co-created by comedic legend Tina Fey, best known for Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, and Mean Girls.

Returning with a rare perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score at the time of writing, The Four Seasons season 2 has finally landed on Netflix. As of Thursday, May 28, 2026, eight new episodes of The Four Seasons season 2 are now available to stream, making it one of the very best shows to binge-watch tonight and into the weekend on Netflix. Fey also stars in the series alongside former SNL cast mate Will Forte and 2-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo.

The Four Seasons Is A Must-Watch On Netflix This Weekend

With its exceptional critical reception right out of the gate, The Four Seasons season 2 is expected to be one of Netflix's most watched shows this weekend as it looks to climb to #1 worldwide, dethroning the popular new sci-fi adventure series The Boroughs. Although season 2 of the viral crime thriller series A Good Girl's Guide to Murder just dropped on Netflix earlier this week, The Four Seasons is currently on pace to become Netflix's new top streaming hit, following in season 1's footsteps.

Since The Four Seasons season 1 drew in nearly 12 million views during its first four days on the platform, season 2 will look to at least match or outperform that threshold, especially with its season 3 renewal possibility up in the air. Season 1 of the series is led by Fey, Forte, Domingo, and iconic TV actor Steve Carell, who is fresh off his popular HBO Max series Rooster. The main ensemble cast is rounded out by Marco Calvani, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Erika Henningsen, and season 2 newcomer Steven Pasquale.

Between Fey, Carrell, Forte, and Domingo, these actors share a combined 10 Emmy wins, 61 Emmy nominations (46 of which are Fey's alone), and 3 Oscar nominations, making the cast of The Four Seasons a truly star-studded affair. While season 1 received mostly positive reviews, resulting in a Rotten Tomatoes score of 78%, early reviews for season 2 suggest that the latest season is a strong improvement. Screen Rant's Cher Thompson gave The Four Seasons season 2 a 7/10 rating, noting that, "The Four Seasons season 2 is refreshing in unexpected ways, reinventing itself after a major loss."

While Fey, Carell, Forte, and Domingo eat up the star power in The Four Seasons, the entire cast is truly noteworthy and together make it one of the very best ensembles on Netflix. Kerri Kennedy, who plays Anne in the series, was also nominated for 5 Emmy Awards for her classic role in Reno 911!, while Erika Henningsen, who plays Ginny, is also known for Prime Video shows such as Hazbin Hotel and Harlem. What's more, Marco Calvani, who gives what is arguably a career-best performance in The Four Seasons, is also celebrated for writing and directing the 2024 film High Tide.
