Madeleine West had an unfortunate encounter in a supermarket on Thursday, after she was verbally abused by a gruff man.
The former Neighbours star was shopping with her young child at a Woolworths location in the NSW town of Casino, when a man and his partner spotted her.
The couple recognised the 46-year-old, and while the wife seemed excited, the husband was evidently not a fan of her work, and called Madeleine a 'b*tch' under his breath.
Posting a photo in which she was teary-eyed after having a cry over the encounter, Madeleine explained what happened - and had some harsh words for her detractor.
'To the guy at Casino Woollies, the one who muttered, "Yeah. She looks like a f**king witch" (but with a B instead of a W) when your partner whispered, "That's Madeleine West" as you both passed me and bubs, wet and muddy, after a day exploring the bush,' Madeleine recounted in an Instagram post.
'I noticed you went to great lengths to suck your gut in and look surly when we queued behind you at the checkout.'

The Aussie actress went on: 'I almost said something, but realised my time was too precious to be wasted on an oxygen thief like yourself.
'But I did share a dazzling smile with your sweet wife as she cooed over my bub. Because I am grateful.
'Interactions like these fill me with joy, because they remind me of how lucky I am! I have my health, happy kids, and I don't ever have to go home with a troglodyte like you.'
She continued: 'Deep down I know you are no threat to anything…except perhaps the theory that the Neanderthals all died out.
'But I bear no grudges. In fact I was thinking of you as I added extra eye of newt to this morning's Witches Brew. I'd suggest you try a daily cup of bone broth yourself, great for gut health, skin issues, cognition, but sadly it doesn't cure stupid.'
Madeleine signed off: 'Happy Thursday and a hex on your house. The Wicked Witch West from Woollies'.
The mother of seven had plenty of support in her comments section.
'Well I've had the pleasure of meeting you and chatting on many occasions and you've never given me witchy vibes,' one fan wrote.

Another said: 'Well done! This made me smile. People like that are not worth the effort. This post made me giggle at the end. Love it.'
'Imagine being threatened by someone you don't even know, let alone a woman who advocates and helps countless people,' penned one fan.
'The human species never fails to amaze me. So much hate. Well the majority of us think you are a queen. I wish it was I that saw you. I would have been so thankful to be in the presence of such a beautiful soul. Keep shining.'
Someone else posted: 'Well done for keeping your cool Mumma. The universe works in funny ways and I'm sure they'll stub a toe in the next few days. Karma does the work for negative, small-minded ones'.
The TV star shares Phoenix, 20, Hendrix, 17, Xascha, 15, Xanthe, 13, and twins Xalia and Margaux, 11, with former partner, chef Shannon Bennett, 50, and welcomed her seventh child last year.
She has not yet revealed the name of the one-year-old.
