While it was hardly a split of Brad and Jen proportions, Brodie Ryan's announcement in May 2025 that she and Nathan Buckley had parted ways generated plenty of buzz across Melbourne's leafy suburbs.
Indeed, there was plenty of uncharitable gossip suggesting Brodie had perhaps enjoyed the WAG lifestyle a little too much prior to their break-up.
These whispers grew louder after she declared that dating an AFL footballer 'would be harder than being a CEO of a company'.
However, more than a year later, Brodie seems to have well and truly moved on from the sweet life as a footy great's other half.
This week, she broke her silence on the Collingwood legend's new romance with glamorous blonde restaurateur Kate Dickins.
Brodie confirmed to the Daily Mail that she had been aware of Nathan's relationship for several months and had nothing but kind words for the lovebirds.

'I have known about it since April,' she said.
'She looks stunning and they make a beautiful couple. I hear she is a great person!'
Brodie, who dated the Geelong assistant coach for about three years, made it clear there was no bad blood between the former flames.
'We seem to have all found our happiness,' she added.
'I genuinely wish them all the happiness.'
Her gracious response comes after Nathan, 54, and Kate made their public debut as a couple at the Carji Greeves Medal, Geelong's best and fairest award, at Crown last Thursday.
Bucks looked dapper in a crisp navy suit, while Kate turned heads in a striking electric blue gown featuring a daring thigh-high split.
Kate is well known on Melbourne's culinary scene and owns popular Port Melbourne restaurant Ciao Cielo. She has also worked as a professional chef.
'I have known about it since April,' Brodie told the Daily Mail on Tuesday. '[Kate] looks stunning and they make a beautiful couple. I hear she is a great person!'
The pair are understood to have been dating for several months, with their red carpet debut marking the first time they stepped out together as a couple.
Nathan's new romance comes more than a year after Brodie confirmed the end of their relationship, which began in 2022 after his split from Albury salon owner Alex Pike.
Brodie confirmed the split in an emotional Instagram post, telling followers the decision had come after 'much reflection and consideration'.
'After much reflection and consideration, Nath and I have decided to part ways,' she wrote at the time.
'Thank you for your kind messages and support over the past couple of months of heartache. I am truly grateful for your kindness and consideration.
'This decision was not made lightly, and we are grateful for the time we shared, the memories we created, and the support we received from each other and all of you.'
Brodie also made it clear at the time that she continued to hold Nathan and his family in high regard.
'While we will no longer be a couple, I will always respect Nathan and the friendship that developed between us three to four years ago and have a lot of love for him and his boys and our beautiful dog Tank,' she said.
Brodie referred to the couple as 'Brodes and Bucks' in her break-up post last year
Their split came just months after the pair enjoyed a family holiday in Fiji.
Despite their 17-year age gap, the Melbourne businesswoman previously said they had plenty in common and pushed one another to be the best versions of themselves.
Nathan was previously married to ex-wife Tania Buckley for 18 years until they announced their separation in December 2020.
The former couple share two sons, Jett and Ayce.
