Though its story has sadly come to an end, My Hero Academia is going out with a bang, with its final volume breaking an incredible sales record within a week of its release. After joining the 100 million club back in April, volume 42 of My Hero Academia has helped the series reach another major milestone, making sure the series will go down in history as one of Weekly Shōnen Jump's greatest.
According to a post on X by MangaMoguraRE, Volume 42 of My Hero Academia has already reached 1 million copies in circulation within a single week since its release. The final volume was released in Japan on December 4 with 38 additional pages of content, with the sales record yet again proving just how successful the franchise is.
An official release date for the English release by Viz is yet to be revealed, which means Volume 42 will likely break even more sales records when it eventually reaches My Hero Academia's eager international fan base.
